Excellent beer selection dwarfed by rude service and weak fo. Really dissappointing given great beer selection. Not a high maintenance customer, but literally have to walk on egg shells to avoid the wrath of the wait staff .. for unreasonable requests like a napkin .. Avoid like the plague.

Citysearch Editorial Review. There’s no excuse to order a Bud when you can enjoy a delicious Belgian draft served in its proper glass. This midtown gastropub boasts 14 frothy Belgian brews and a cafe menu loaded with comfort food that’s more French than fatty. BXL East is a mecca for those that love beer, particularly after a long day at the office. Try the house brew, BXL Cuvee, a Brussels-style amber with a dry citrus flavor. Red walls, exposed brick and beer glasses displayed behind the mirrored bar provide the perfect backdrop to toss back a few pints of cold, perfectly poured brews, while nibbling on upscale treats like pommes frites or cheese croquettes.

Terrible Food, Awful Service. BXL on E 51st is a terrible restaurant, for both food and service. The food is bland and tasteless, but far worse is the service. Extremely poor management, rude and incompetent, makes this restaurant appalling. Avoid at all costs.
