Citysearch Editorial Review. Hotel decor can be dreary even in some of the best hotels--not so in this bright, modern U.K. import, which features 86 colorful, artfully appointed rooms. The husband and wife team behind the London-based Firmdale group has brought their unique look to Soho, filling the guest rooms and lobby with a chic mix of MoMA-worthy original paintings, rustic, textured furniture and one-of-a-kind statement pieces (like a giant human head sculpture by Jaume Plensa that’s made from metal letters). A charming brick-walled patio just off the hotel restaurant gives guests a secret garden to enjoy.
