Disappointing Food & Service. I had reasonable expectations, not very high and not very low.

For starters, the beer and wine selections are quite good. Not amazing by any means but more than acceptable.

The menu itself jumps out at you right away. The appetizers and main courses all scream "interesting" and "different" but alas none scream, "Must Have."

I never have difficulty picking an entree but because nothing really jumps out at me, my dinning mates and I decided to order four different items to share (four appetizers and four entrees).

The food was uninspired in taste. Each dish lacked the "special" taste to bring it from the mediocre to the very good. The House-Made Macaroni and Steamed Littleneck Clams were very good, but the Danelion & Escarole and Chilled Carrot Soup were not good at all.

For the entrees, the fried chicken was tasty, but the portion size small. The scallop special of the day was bland and tasteless and Dijon Marinated Pork Blade Steak was not prepared well. The best item offered was probably the burger, but while the patty was fresh and juicy, the bun itself was a terrible choice.

For the side we had these amazing crispy potatoes, by far the best part of the meal.

Afterwards, we chose to skip dessert because of the disappointing meal. One of my dinning mates overheard the waiter complain that our tip was "only 15%". We tipped $30.00 on a $190.00 bill. While the service was adequate, it was far from stellar and coupled with the mediocre food I cannot understand why anyone would expect more.
