Sent them my own frame to put new lenses in it - it came back broken due to improper packaging. They asked me to send it back for repair - repaired it bad and asked me to send it to them again promising to repair again otherwise send it back to me with full refund. Once they received the frame they removed their lenses (they never said they will do it!) and sent me back broken empty frame - result - NO FRAME, NO LENSES. They did refund their price. Conclusion - think twice before using this service.
Worst online experience ever. Paid for frames that were out of stock. Had to open a dispute/claim with Paypal. Received threatening demeaning emails from customer service telling me to end the dispute or they would not refund (against paypal policy) Paypal has froze their account. Still waiting on refund which is guaranteed by paypal. I should have read the other reviews before deciding on them for discount frames . You would be better off going to Lens Way for a reputable dealer in discount frames. This is the first negative review I have ever left for a company.
I placed an order for a pair of glasses
on Friday morning and added a note with the order. As I was leaving on a trip in 2 days I also called to make sure they had everything they needed to complete the order; I got voice mail even though it was was during business hours. A week later (when I was able to see my email again) I saw an email from them asking for 2 pieces of information - one was something they could easily get from the glasses I sent in, the other was what I had put in the message with the order and had called and left a message about.
I called first thing Monday morning and again got voice mail; I left another message. I called 2 more times that morning before a person actually answered the phone; they had not filled my order. To say I was upset would be a gross understatement. Those were my husband's most recent glasses and he needed them for work. Now, he not only didn't them, he didn't have his new prescription either. To make things right they offered to rush them through the lab and send them to use via express mail. I thought rushing them through the lab was a no brainer, but to send them via anything other than overnight was unacceptable. (The processing on the glasses was going to take several days as they were progressives with transitions and crizal coatings.) They said they couldn't do that.
They totally ignored the message I sent with the order, they didn't answer their phone during business hours on 2 separate days, they did not return any of the 3 voice messages I left and they gave up a $439 order because they refused to overnight the finished glasses to us to make up for having them a week and doing nothing with them.
To add insult to injury, they mailed my husband's frames back to us via first class mail rather than Priority mail. Thus, to get new glasses for him in a timely manner we were forced to purchase new frames from the other company we chose to make his new lenses.
STOP EVIL! Greedy and slick comes to
mind when I think of them. I sent custom made glasses. They broke them, then talked crazy to me after I sent the receipt and finally they refunded just the shipping and lenses portion after telling me to take a hike on my frames!
Never again! BEWARE!
Lensesrx is an Amazing Company, great prices & service!. I was discouraged from ordering my glass lenses online form my eye doctor, Dr. Archima Major of Drexel HIll, PA and from the manager of Lense Crafters at the Granite Run Mall. I told both of them that the prices for getting the lenses at Lensesrx is only $220 versus the $710 I was quoted at Lense Crafters for progressive transition lenses of my prescription. I was told that for progressive transition lenses of my prescription it is not likely that Lensesrx would be capable of filling this order correctly, rather just a standard low prescription for a person whose eye sight is not as poor as mine. Well, they are wrong, I saved almost $500, after applying a 25% off coupon code that Lensesrx emailed to me after I ordered my glasses but before I received them, they were willing to refund on my paypal account the 25% even though I had already placed my order, saving me an additional $45!!! Of an already unheard of low price of $270, bringing my order down to around $220. The glasses arrived within 21 days exactly from when I place my order, because they had to send them out for the progressive transition lenses to be installed, which is something a lot of eye glass stores have to do anyway. The glasses were made exactly as prescribed, beautifully, and they enclosed a nice and useful cloth for wiping the lenses without scratching them. Despite the skeptical comments of my eye doctor and the manager of Lense Crafters I am a very satisfied customer that would definitely order from Lensesrx again. I also called and spoke to a man about my order before submitting it, and his comments were knowledgeable, responsive and truthful. I was thrilled with the customer service. I went back to Lense Crafters to adjust the frames and to check that my prescription and the segment height were accurate -- which both were -- and had the pleasure of telling the manager how happy I was with the glasses I ordered from LensesRx, I'm just sorry I didn't order my fancy designer frames online too, I would have saved around $30 instead of purchasing them from Eye Innovations, where I had my eye examination. When you order online you have coupon codes to reduce the price lower than anything you can expect to pay buying in a retain eye glass store. Go Lenses.Rx, thanks for the wonderful service and more importantly for saving me almost $500!!! I will order from you again!!!
Fantastic Glasses Resource.
This company is so amazing that I decided to write my first online review Ever!
Because of their extensive inventory - they were the only company with my frames in stock, and their prices for frames and prescription lenses are amazing. I paid $120 total vs the $360 that I would have spent in store.
Their customer service was super friendly when I called in, and very helpful when I sent my frames back to them after getting a new prescription. They even called me to double check the new prescription!
Both of my orders were filled and shipped within 3 days and my glasses arrived 3 days later.
Amazing company, great merchandise and great service.
After you get your prescription and PD measured in store - be sure to place your order online through this company.
You won't be disappointed!!
Wow!! Definitely ordering glasses from here again in future!.
A VERBOSE review is about to commence...
[ Background Story ]
Store glasses that finally worked with my face were too expensive... But found glasses on LensesRX that ended up to be half that price (and would've been cheaper had I not forgotten their 20% off coupon! Arg.)
AMAZING SELECTION of frames, glasses, options (including Crizal,) care plans, everything. This was the first time I?d ever bought glasses online ? always went through a store since I was 8.
Price comparison:
$311 for store-bought glasses: consisting of frames (brand = Guess #1554; $150) + lenses (polycarbonate - $150)
$156.80 (at LensesRX) for frames (~$80,) lenses (polycarbonate - $29.95,) anti-glare coating*, scratch resistance*
*About $6 - $7 each? Forgot? but they are cheap!

My experience was amazing. Excellent service and service plans (free ones and lifetime support etc.) Very smooth online ordering walkthrough. Detailed explanations.
The Guess glasses I chose debuted in their complete array of four colors in LensesRX, compared to the 3 colors in stores. I ended up choosing the color they didn't have in stores, with much gratitude! For all glasses, measurements (in mm) are provided.
Oh!! Please don't forget to check for online coupons for LensesRX. At the time I ordered, there was (and still is?) a summer special - enter in a code for 20% off your order! They come out with more coupons year round, so fear not. I ended up forgetting to use the coupon!! Alas.
[ Shipping ]
VERY FAST. Got glasses 3 business days after I ordered them. Came with free shipping - which comes with domestic orders (within the USA) $75 or higher. This deal seems to be permanent, I think.
LensesRX also gave me free shipment tracking with my glasses!
[ Post-Purchase ]
They were extremely in touch with updating me about my order progress:
+ Aug. 23: (3) e-mails - welcome to LensesRX, order confirmation, detailed receipt
+ Aug. 24: (2) e-mails - preparation in progress announcement, work in progress (with description of each step)
+ Aug. 25: (1) e-mail - glasses shipped! Tracking number included
And on August 29 (there were 3 business days and a weekend in between ordering and arrival) my glasses came! They were in a legitimate Guess case (very solid - a lovely sheen of gold) - in a bubble wrapped envelope. Got a free microfiber cloth too!
prescription glasses. I was really impressed with the customer service on this site. I called them up and they helped me find a frame for me and taught me how to read my prescription. I would recommend them.
LensesRx Prescription Glasses.
I used LensesRx on two separate occasions, the first time was for a pair of frames I already owned but I needed the prescription updated. I'm not incredibly computer savvy, so I liked that they had a large display of their telephone number on the top of the page. I called and was given a price quote of $30 cheaper than my doctor's least expensive frames. I ordered the glasses, but before I did the wonderful customer service gave me a 10% off coupon for being a first time customer.
The second time I simply navigated through the website until I found some glasses that looked nice, filled in my Rx, and got them 4 days later.
Overall a good experience, I would highly recommend them.
LensesRX - beware of this company. I ordered 2 pair of glasses which they promise to deliver within 1 week for the type I ordered. 12 days later they still had not arrived. I used the online chat to see what was going on - 15 minutes later still no response. I called, they said they will ship "tonight" - amazing I called on the same day they were to be shipped. When I asked about this they said the glasses were on back order and that is why it was delayed. I asked why did they not let me know in an email or a call...it just got rude from there. When I asked for a manager they actually tried to cover for each other. I finally caught them in a lie and so I canceled the order. Typical New York attitude but without any customer service. I can deal with the attitude if they deliver what they promise but why go through the hassle of both?
