nice!. Yakitori Taisho, located in St.Marks is a nice little japanese spot. There Dishes are reasonably priced and theres always people in there. They have all types of meat on a stick, as well as rice and noodle dishes which are awesome as well. Definitely check it out when in ST.Marks!
Yakitori, I love you!.
There is a long line for a reason. Yakitori taisho is the perfect place to come after a long weekend of drinking.
Since I am a big fan of any food that is bad for me, the bacon wrapped enoki mushroom, bacon wrapped asparagus, and bacon wrapped scallop are some of my favorites. So is the chicken skin skewer, pork belly skewer, and french fries with spicy cod roe mayo.
I've also tried their popular ramen dish. i forget what it's called but there's a giant picture of it on the menu. it was pretty darn good, though really oily. Lucky for me, I like oil.
I would pretty much say that you can't go wrong with what you order here. Perfect cute japanese food that will satisfy even the most famished beast at extremely cheap prices.
Cheap, Quick, Tasty. Even at 10 PM, Yakitori Taisho couldn’t have been busier, and I felt lucky to be eating with only one other person. After a lengthy wait, we sat at the bar, backs to the door, with a direct view of the chefs sauce, sauté and soup their magic. A pitcher of beer and a quick order of mushroom and plum chicken skewers removed our winter chill. The tiny space whirled with activity, the noise level never subsided, and people poured in, but the food still trumps other similarly-themed restaurants down the block – always arriving quickly, hot and flavorful, and undeniably cheap. It’s not for the faint of heart, but you probably knew that already.
