Citysearch Editorial Review. New York has its fair share of fashionable hotels, but few that sit in the heart of the Garment District--until now. Fashion 26 (a Wyndham Hotel) is located within a stone’s throw of F.I.T. and is just a few blocks from Herald Square, and it pays homage to the ‘hood with a lobby desk inspired by a cutting room table, custom-designed menswear-style pinstriped carpeting and fashion-themed works of art, like a piece by Devorah Sperber made from over 1,000 spools of thread. This being New York, expect smallish rooms and unremarkable, office-building scenery--except from the hotel’s rooftop bar, the aptly named Rare View.
