PILATES.
Michael Salvatore is an excellent Pilates Instructor. He trained at the New York studio with Romana Kryzanowska, one of Joseph Pilates original students. Both Michael’s training and his personality lend themselves to the attention to detail, precision and focus which make one on one Pilates instruction so productive.
He is professional, knowledgeable about body mechanics and the method of training and careful to respect, but still challenge physical limits.
Perhaps most importantly, Michael is a kind and gracious individual who has made it easy for me to begin exercising again after a 2 ½ year hiatus. I have enjoyed Pilates instruction with him. After 10 sessions I feel stronger and have more energy. I recommend Michael wholeheartedly for his high quality instruction.
You will have homework!.
I have been working with Michael for the past four months. While I'm not inclined to disclose my age, let's just say I'm old enough to have suffered from the cruelty of gravity. I wish I had the opportunity to have more time to train with him in his studio; however, he has really helped me by creating a home Pilates program for me.
At the studio we focus working on equipment. He assigns a lot of homework to get me stronger in areas so I can get the most out of my private sessions with him.
Pilates can be pretty tough but it is well worth the work. I noticed I am feeling more lifted and more importantly looking more lifted. Michael's sense of humor truly helped me to
stay focused and get me where I am today.
FABULOUS!.
Michael Salvatore is a rare and fabulous find in Boston! Get in touch with him immediately if you are someone who does or doesn’t regularly exercise. You will feel like a different person after only one session.
He is unique, in that he is both a student and teacher of classical Pilates. Much of what we see at the gym and at the local pilates studio, is actually Stott Pilates, which is quite different in philosophy, from what Joseph Pilates had in mind when he and his wife Clara, opened up their studio in New York City in the 1920’s.
Michael has trained extensively with Romana Kryzanowska, a protégé of Joseph Pilates. He is a wonderful teacher and has an amazing knowledge of the anatomy and physiology of the human body. He will adjust the pace and flow of the class to meet your specific needs. After just one hour with Michael, not only will you have had a fantastic workout, but you’ll most definitely feel longer and leaner, as if you’ve grown at least an inch. Throughout the rest of the day, you’ll notice that your posture will be much better and your usual aches and pains at the end of a long workday, will be noticeably improved.
And here are a few more reasons to go: he is very flexible with scheduling sessions, his studio is peaceful, clean and well appointed, and Michael himself is a lovely person!
Best Pilates. Pilates lessons with Michael have helped me a lot. Over the past two years, I've learned how to be more conscious of my posture at work and how to correct overcompensation for a bad knee and elbow. Working with Michael helps me grow stronger and feel more balanced. His workouts are always different (keeps it interesting!) and tailored to fit my body's strengths and weaknesses. It's always a challenge but also fun! As someone who has never been able to stay motivated about a fitness routine, I find myself actually looking forward to lessons with Michael. :)
Fantastic Pilates instruction.
As a full-time professional musician, I need my body to perform at the highest level at all times. Working with Michael at Salvatore Pilates has helped me achieve that. Michael focuses on balancing and strengthening the entire body as well as providing very detailed, specific work precisely addressed to my particular needs. As you can imagine, this is just about as far from cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all gym Pilates as it gets! Since working with Michael I've been pain-free and much more confident in my ability to stay healthy and balanced for the rest of my career (and life!)
Michael is professional, safety-conscious, and has a great sense of humor. He'll take his time getting to know your abilities and limitations, but once you get going, you will sweat! Michael spent hundreds of hours training with some of the most respected senior Classical Pilates teachers in NYC (the ones who actually trained with Joseph Pilates himself) and he continues to expand upon his training all the time. I feel very safe and confident in his hands.
The studio is immaculate and fully stocked with all the important Pilates equipment, and Michael is very easy to schedule with. I can't recommend him highly enough.
PILATES.
I have been training with Mike for the past year and a half and it has made a tremendous difference in my life. Not only have I felt better both physically and mentally but have improved my level of competition in handball and tennis. Not only do I have more flexibility in my games but I also have much more endurance.
Michael is a pleasure to work with and knows exactly how to push you. I highly recommend Salvatore Pilates.
