Irresponsible and unreliable!

Working with this place has been one nightmare after another. After ordering her dress, my sister went in for her first fitting to find that specific details to the back of her dress were not there. No big deal we were told, they could use the sample dress on the floor as a model to re-create it simply and easily as well as the necessary adjustments for her fitting. Second fitting - details still not taken care of and now told the sample dress was discontinued and they had ripped it to shreds - no longer available to use as a model to re-create the details. luckily, my sister had brought a picture with her so that our mother and I were able to try and re-create it ourselves. They made a final appointment for her to go down and pick up the dress just 3 days before the wedding finalized and pressed. My sister gets a call that morning to tell her not to bother coming down to pick up her dress as they ARE CLOSED!! WHAT? Why didn't they say they were going to be closed so she could come a day earlier to pick up the dress? Why did they make the appointment for this date if they were going to be closed. My sister is supposed to be leaving for her wedding 4 hours away to start getting ready and now she can't because she has to wait around to pick up the dress tomorrow. I can only hope its ready. But so far, not very pleased at all with customer service. This is the last thing a bride needs to be worrying about right before her wedding.

BRIDES BEWARE!! BRIDALS BY ROMA IN CLIFTON, NJ will offer you a ONE DAY ONLY - JUST FOR YOU 10% discount if you put a deposit down on a dress. DON'T DO IT!!! It's non-refundable. I called back and honestly explained my situation, hoping that honesty would help them have a heart and give me my money back. NO...it made the manager (Joanne, I believe her name is) hang up on me. It's incredible to me how they have stayed in business at all. Unprofessional and rude...and I feel like they stole my money from me. It's like the manager was an 8 year old girl who was throwing a tantrum when I asked for my money back. Then she HUNG UP ON ME! HOW RUDE IS THAT?! Plus, I hear that their alterations don't last.

Unprofessional, rude, disrespectful... not to mention overpriced

This was unfortunately the first place I went. Dresses were dirty and smelled. Woman who helped me lied about the dresses I tried on. Told me I had to pay $300 to know the name of the designer and wouldn't let me see the tags. As soon as I took it off she ran away with it. When I went home, I called the manager and he told me the same, and hung up on me. Cannot believe they are still in business when so many brides-to-be know to go to netbride, chrissy'os, RK or another online price-beating store to get a much better deal and be treated like they should. Dress they showed me (that I eventually did find without their help or attitude) was $1200 in store; $800 matched elsewhere. Bridesmaids section was nice -- but again, way overpriced. That part is in separate store so you don't even have to go near those terrible bridal salespeople if you do check that part out. Make no mistake - these people are soley in business because of girls who don't do their homework. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this horrible place. Posted this on theknot and saved lots of girls time and money. Hope this helps.
