What a mistake!!!! What kind of people in this sector of Retail Customer Service just close there doors? We are now two months to our wedding date and my fiance has no dress, after it was ordered over 9 months ago. To make matters worse the gown is now discontinued and unavailable from the manufacturer. Thank You so much for your low life business tactics and taking advantage of people on there most cherished day.
TERRIBLE DISGUSTING OVERPRICED – HORRIBLE !! They don't deserve any stars as far as I'm concerned. We went there with an appointment and the sales person they gave us was an absolute idiot!! She just stood there and stared w/ no recommendations. They made us wait an hour to try on the one dress my girlfriend went there in the first place to try on because someone else grabbed it. They are full of themselves and the woman that runs the place was trash talking other bridal stores. One that she trash talked was NJ Bridal Gallery in Garfield. We went there immediately and it was AMAZING!! This is what a bridal gallery should be! All their dresses were in perfect condition and sparkling! At Roma, all their dresses looked like they had been thru World War 3! NJ BRIDAL GALLERY BEATS ROMA ANY DAY AND THEIR PRICES ARE AWESOME. MY GIRLFRIEND FOUND HER DRESS THERE AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS.
Unless you want crappy service and to try on dresses that smell like B.O. do not go to Bridals by Roma!!
Terrible Customer Service Skills – I was very put off by my phone conversation with the managerof Bridals by Roma. I wanted to start the process of dress shopping over theholidays because my friends and family were in town during this time. I calledto set-up an appointment and talked to the manager on a cell phone. She askedme when I was getting married, and I responded Nov. 2013. When she heard this,she wanted nothing to do with my appointment. However, I was planning on buyinga wedding dress early, so my father who is very ill could be part of theexperience. She begrudgingly gave me an appointment and ended the conversation.She accidentally forgot to hang up the phone and proceeded to say i was f******crazy for looking that early and she shouldn't give me the time. I couldn't believethat the manager of a store would talk about a potential customer this way. Andif she was thinking it, she should have made sure her phone call had ended. Iam sure if the manager thinks this way about the customers, it must trickledown to the other employees. I am interested in buying my dress from someonewho cares about the importance of a wedding day, not a selfish person who onlycares about making a sale.
Pushy and Rude – If you want wedding dress shopping to be the best part of wedding planning, I suggest you say away from Bridals by Roma! I still went to Roma after one of my best friends told me how horrible their customer service is. My friend was right, they are extremely rude and pushy, from the saleswomen to the manager. I tried on dresses, found a dress I liked but wasn't ready to purchase, as I wanted to bring my mom back to see before I made a decision. Well, the saleswoman Maria and manager Joanne were pressuring me to leave a deposit, which i clearly was not ready to do. After while of going back and forth, i decided not to leave a deposit because i was not ready and at this point I wasn't enjoying myself because of their attitude and pushiness. When i told the salewoman Maria that I did not want to leave a deposit, she stormed out of the dressing room without a word, met Joanne in the hallway, whispered something to her and they kept walking in front of us, never saying goodbye, a thank you for coming, hope to see you again..... AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
STAY AWAY- THEY RUINED MY WEDDING DRESS!!! – This place is HORRENDOUS. Stay away. I bought my gown here, despite the dirty carpets; despite the disgusting dirty staff; and despite the manager Joanne. WORST MISTAKE EVER. Long story short, they do not know how to do alterations- they try to take the easy way out with everything, and as a result, on my wedding day, I was left pulling of my gown constantly, so that my bra wouldn't show. My photographer had to pull my dress up all night so the bra wouldn't show. This place is awful with horrible customer service. They will lure you in with their cheaper prices, and then kill you with their alterations. STAY AWAY!
Worst Customer Service in my LIFE!!! – I'm sure you'll see a mixed bag of reviews about Bridals by Roma. I can speak to my experience there, and I would ABSOLUTELY NEVER EVER recommend going to this store after the way I was treated. Do yourself a favor and google some other reviews online, I wish I had first. I would NEVER give them any more business or let any of my friends shop there!!!! Their customer service is the absolute worst I have ever seen or heard of in any establishment and worst of all the manager is the worst offender. If anything goes wrong trust me they will not fix it and it will be too late, they do not care about the way that they treat their customers once they have your money.
I know some girls have found their dress there and had no problem, but with something like this I would not want to take that chance. I have seen too many negative reviews and heard too many stories after the fact and it was too late for me. I wish I had known more about them before I ever considered looking there. There are much nicer, cleaner stores with better selections, and friendlier staff -- save yourself the time and effort of going here.
A wedding dress shopping experience should be pleasant from start to finish. This started off to be great, they promised me the moon and the stars to get me to purchase a dress that would be custom. I ordered a halter dress that was PROMISED to be made into a strapless dress. The store FAILED to order the fabric with the dress order and ordered it after. First they did NOTHING with the dress for the first 3 months they had it. Then when we went back they tried to pass off the 'new' fabric as it matched and REFUSED to even acknowledge that as the paying customer and bride was EXTREMELY unhappy with the results. At this point the manager got very snippy with us and made NO REAL attempt to fix the dress.
It quickly became very clear that this place was NOT interested AT ALL in customer service. The manager, Joann, was EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL & RUDE. She INSULTED my mother and I and called us crazy and told us we were imagining things and REFUSED to admit that she was wrong and had made a mistake.
We ultimately removed the dress from the store after they had it for 3 months without fixing it and I was left with a two toned dress. I took the dress to another bridal store to evaluate it where multiple people saw it and AGREED with us that the color did not properly match. In addition they showed us the changs that Bridals by Roma made and had BLANATLY lied about to us when we asked them questions about.
I cannot say enough NEGATIVE things about how unpleasant this store was to work with. It was an EXTREMELY stressful and upsetting process that caused me and my entire family a great deal of anxiety over something that should have been one of the best experiences of my wedding. This company should be out of business for the way that they treat their customers.
Perfect Dress Fantastic Service HUGE Selection – Bridals By Roma made my dream come true for my wedding gown. I could not have been in a better shop. Not only did I find my wedding gown (which they custom made for me), my mother found her MOB dress here too! My bridal consultant was amazing and I highly recommend them to all my friends when they start their wedding planning. The seamstresses we so talented....
It is worth the trip! – From the moment I walked in I was enchanted by the gowns and the ambiance of this store!! The gowns are unmatched by any other in the North New Jersey and NYC ! First let me back up, I looked at their dresses online, which was great because I knew exactly which ones I wanted to try on. Secondly, their website informed me of a sale! Not a sample sale, but New Custom dresses at 25% off!! Then I made an appointment, for which I actually arrived early and they were very eager to assist me.
The store manager actually helped me into the gowns and gave me honest opinions. She said positive things which were true, and pointed out things that might not look quite right. As opposed to a store where they tell you everything looks great on you, and you know they're just desperate for a sale.
Once I found THE dress, I opted for the custom fitted gown. They measured me every which way and the gown will fit me PERFECTLY! If my body changes between now and 9 months from now (my wedding date) the dress will be altered without any additional charges. Wonderful Store!!
PLUS there is no sales tax !!!!

Happily Ever After – I was a client of Bridals By Roma with my wedding this past summer. This was an amazing vendor! I truly cannot say enough GREAT things about this salon. The made "the dress" process easy and uncomplicated. I always received stellar service, and I (seemed to be at least) was always their number one priority. Make sure you check this place out, because coming from a BRIDE, this place is the best.
Irresponsible and unreliable! – Working with this place has been one nightmare after another. After ordering her dress, my sister went in for her first fitting to find that specific details to the back of her dress were not there. No big deal we were told, they could use the sample dress on the floor as a model to re-create it simply and easily as well as the necessary adjustments for her fitting. Second fitting - details still not taken care of and now told the sample dress was discontinued and they had ripped it to shreds - no longer available to use as a model to re-create the details. luckily, my sister had brought a picture with her so that our mother and I were able to try and re-create it ourselves. They made a final appointment for her to go down and pick up the dress just 3 days before the wedding finalized and pressed. My sister gets a call that morning to tell her not to bother coming down to pick up her dress as they ARE CLOSED!! WHAT? Why didn't they say they were going to be closed so she could come a day earlier to pick up the dress? Why did they make the appointment for this date if they were going to be closed. My sister is supposed to be leaving for her wedding 4 hours away to start getting ready and now she can't because she has to wait around to pick up the dress tomorrow. I can only hope its ready. But so far, not very pleased at all with customer service. This is the last thing a bride needs to be worrying about right before her wedding.
