After Cafe Michelina came highly recommended by a friend and co-worker, my friend and I decided to give it a try. We could not have been more disappointed in a restaurant. After being seated, we were then ignored for the most part of the evening. We had to ask for water and setups 3 times before our request was finally delivered. My friend ordered chicken murphey and I ordered lobster ravioli, when our meal was served my friends dish was served swimming in oil that had congealed and in my entire plate of ravioli only twice was there a hint of lobster. Overall the food was disappointing but the worst part of the evening was the service, our waiter had a insulting I don't care attitude, while serving his other two tables attentively. I asked for bruschetta twice and was completely ignored, but the other two tables around us was served the same bruschetta immediately upon sitting down. I was told to wait as they didn't have anymore prepared. We will never go back to Cafe Michelina as the food and service was very bad.

What a delight this restaurant is! The food here is outstanding! The Chicken Michelina is delicious and the Stuffed Rigatoni is out of this world. Chef/Owner, Pete even makes his way out of the kitchen to say hello to the regulars. My wife and I dined here when we lived in Hoboken and now we travel all the way from Long Island for a great meal whenever we can. Try the homemade soups in the winter and always take a gander at the Specials. Don't forget dessert. The tiramisu is fantastic! Bring your own wine and enjoy this great Italian restaurant.

I went out with a group of my friends to this restaurant last night. I ordered the pasta primavera w/o shrimp due to an allergy. They charged me full price for the dish. When I politely asked the waitor why I was charged full price for the dish when I did not have the most expensive part his reply was, the Shrimp are for flavor only, it had a lot of vegetables in it, its the same price. For the quality it was I was shocked. Its bad customer practice. I was a waitress for four years at a small Italian place, this is not how you handle the situation. A dollar or two off is how you handle it. I shouldve asked for the shrimp in a bag. Also, being from second generation from the old country its not great Italian. Ive had better. Your better bet is to cross the river and go to Il Corallo Tratorria....
