Benny Tudino's serves straight up New York pizza slices with one difference: they are gigantic. The biggest slices you've ever seen. You could get two somewhere else. But this one goes up to 11. Forget about it!
Going down hill fast don't do it.. a long time supporter of them and now i see they don't care at all and that is over the last year so i am giving up and suggesting everyone to go somewhere else since i have had cold old pizza delivered too many times. There are so many other good places in Hoboken you can go for pizza!!!
AMAZING PIZZA. Who cares about customer service - you go here to get a slice of the BEST pizza!!!! And you will not leave dissappointed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hoboken/Italian history in the form of sauce!. Benny's is one of the last places in Hoboken to survive the test of time. It is very famous and well known for having the 'Biggest Slice in Town' as it is proudly pronounced on its window storefront. Besides being two slices in one, it also has a Old-Fashioned Italian feel to it which is probably why they only accept cash! You will obviously pay alittle more than normal but you will only need one and you will get much more than pizza, you will get a History lesson of Hoboken. People go not just for the pizza but to support their favorite place once in a while and engage the memories on the walls! Bottom line is that if you havent visited Benny's, you haven't visited Hoboken. It's like taking a time machine into what it would have been like getting a slice of pizza in Frank Sinatra's day!
Worst Customer Service!.
First, the positive, the food was very good.
The negative part was the customer service. I ordered takeout over the phone. The gentleman on the telephone was having a conversation with someone else in the restaurant and kept messing up my order; and then he became angry with me because he had written down the wrong order. I should have hung up when I asked him if they delivered and if there was a delivery minimum because he laughed. He was again rude when I asked if I could pay by credit card, which they don't accept. What reputable business doesn't take credit cards nowadays?
It seems like they do very good business, but it will be without mine in the future.
Best Pizza!. I have been going to Benny Tudino's for years. Everyone I take there loves it. Huge slices of pizza and the mozzarella sticks are good also. Haven't tried other dishes but have heard they were pretty good as well. Definately would recommend.
A slice with attitude.. This is the slice by which all others are measured, the slice that I treat visitors to, the slice that said visitors call me up years later and tell me they are craving. Benny's slice is thin, soft and chewy, light on the tomato sauce with mozzarella gamely stretched across its enormous triangle. Get slices, not a pie ? for some reason the pie, while good, doesn't possess the same mojo. Grab a table outside if you can ? you may see the Benny himself out there, sitting behind his big waxy mustache by the front door ? and watch the parade of Hobokenites and double-parkers dashing in for their Benny's fix. Expect a hefty dose of Jersey attitude (and possibly some inappropriate scratching) from the mooks at the counter ? and don't look in the bathroom.
Mmmmmmmmm. Great tasty pizza. I think you get the idea from other reviews,... hint... slices are not small. Very good and reasonably priced.
Stop your search. You have found the best pizza.. If you expecting to dine like royalty, Benny's is not he place for you. If you want the BIGGEST and best slice of pizza you will ever eat, you are finally here. For a mere 2 bucks you get a slice that is soft, chewy and oh so wicked good. Did I mention BIG. This slice is, no joke, the same size as the placemats. It occupies 2 plates. Try it, you will not be disappointed. Besides, where else can you get a meal for 2 beans in Hoboken.
Best Slice in Town!!. After searching for the best NY slice in Manhattan, I quite possibly found it in Hoboken, NJ of all places!! It deffinitely has the best dough of any place I've been to, and a good pizza enthusiast knows that the dough is key to making the perfect pie. This same gigantic slice would run you anywhere near $3.50 in NYC, but for the mere price of $1.75 makes this joint the cradle of pizza salvation! If Benny Tudino started a whole new religeon tommorow, belive me, I'd convert without hesistation. I'd sell my soul for a slice!
Benny's is the Best. Benny's Pizza in Hoboken is the best pizza. Ever since I can remember, going to Benny's was and is a treat. We live over an hour away and love to go to Benny's. My mom use to take the drive for a Benny's pizza when she was pregnant with my little bro. She and dad would drive up, eat, and drive back. My friends hear stories of a Benny's slice. Most slices eaten in one sitting: 4; we are trying for more (it's like eatting 2 regular size pies).
