Best of the Best!. This hotel is unbelievable! Its incredibly classy and well maintained. Our room was spectacular complete with a flatscreen TV that rose from the foot of our bed! In terms of luxury, this hotel can't be beat!

A rarefied, intimate hotel bar for big spenders.. The Scene
The marble lobby of the upscale St. Regis Hotel serves as an appropriate runway to the elegant bar with a very gentleman's-lounge feel. Women were barred until 1950, but now they enter as they please to see the famed Maxfield Parrish mural for themselves. It's expensive, but the museum-like surroundings give fair warning.

The Draw
Service truly transports. The bartenders' attention to detail recalls a bygone era, and your coat can't drape across the bar stool a second without it being whisked away. While the King Cole has been known to attract celebrities, you'll generally find members of the New York business elite sipping a perfectly shaken martini or toasting the day's conquest with a glass of bubbly. It's easy to strike up a conversation with someone who catches your eye, and you're almost guaranteed they can afford to buy your next drink.

Stayed in the Presidential Suite. Very Nice. Not the best I've stayed in but nice.. Everything is top of the scale. I like em more modern and sleek. But this was really nice with good service and attention. I live in NY but sometimes stay in nice hotels.

the worst. bad exsperience ! dont get a manicure or pedicure! nice rooms.. over priced... stuck up front desk... if they think u have money there nice..... i will never return!!!!!

Big city luxury befitting royalty.. The Scene
Walking through the marble-floored lobby of this 1904 Beaux-Arts-style building is a trip back to the Gilded Age. A three-year, $100-million renovation restored the property to a lustrous state and concealed new technology beneath original fixtures. Rich, red-velvet-covered antique armchairs look as comfortable today as they did a hundred years ago when the hotel was the headquarters for an elite "400" selected by Mrs. Astor herself.

The Details
The spacious, high-ceilinged rooms all contain dual-line telephones and electronically controlled temperature and lighting. The black-and-white marble bathrooms feature brass fixtures. The 24-hour butler service on each floor offers complimentary unpacking and suit- or dress-pressing upon arrival. The legendary King Cole Bar and Lounge is home to Maxfield Parrish's famed 1895 mural of Old King Cole; here in 1934 the bartender mixed a "Red Snapper," which later became the Bloody Mary. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and an elegant tea are offered in the lovely Astor Court.

Superb luxury hotel. I took my husband here for one night to celebrate his 50th birthday. From the moment we checked in, we were aware that the St. Regis was in a class of its own. The woman at the check-in desk was very nice and helpful, knew it was my husband's birthday, and told us we had been upgraded from a regular room (which I'd gotten on a discount for booking quite early) to a one bedroom suite! She then took us up the elevator to our floor and handed us off to our butler. He showed us our suite, got us tea and biscotti, and asked if we would allow him to buy us a bottle of champagne to celebrate.

The rooms were impeccable, and gorgeous. Our suite had a bedroom, two full baths, a kitcheonette, and a sitting room with a workstation area. The furnishings were all period and yet looked new, from the decorations on the wall to the crystal chandeliers. The sitting area was large enough to comfortably accomodate 5 of us. Our wake-up call was prompt, as was our breakfast order (and delicious too). All our needs were anticipated.

Our stay was everything we could have hoped for, and more. I cannot recommend a hotel more highly.

magnificent. This is one of the grandest hotels in the city and it a real treat. I love the rooms, the service, and don't miss the King Cole Bar for a delightful drink before heading out for the night.

THE BEST. THIS IS THE NICEST HOTEL EVER! WELL I STAYED IN A GRAND SUITE FOR 2200, MY BUTLER WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR ME AND HOOKED UP A COMPUTER FOR ME! IT WAS AMAZING, IN YOUR BUILDING YOU HAVE LOUIS VITTION AND GODIVA AND GET THE BEST SERVICE AND AMMINITES

Live it up, cheapskates!. A room service cheeseburger at the St Regis will run you about 30 bucks, so it's no surprise that the drinks at the King Cole Bar are priced accordingly high. But, of course, you didn't stop in looking for a bargain, did you? No, you stopped in for a taste of Olde New York. You put on your coat and tie to sip a drink with the swells and gaze up at that super cool mural by Maxfield Parrish. You had two bowls of their signature wasabi crusted bar mix just to even things out a little, but the bill still threw you for a loop. Life is short, though. So pay up and head to McHale's to finish the job.

The Best. Being in the St. Regis Hotel, the bar is expensive as you would expect. But it is marvelous. The atmosphere is old world, but never snobby. The bartenders and table waiters are first rate. The drinks are expensive but large. If you went to a chain restaurant it would cost more to get the same about of alcohol.
