“experienced poor service and severe breakage”
After living in Japan for 6 years, I am
accustomed to Japanese hairstylists. I find
that their technique is always precise and on point. How lucky I am to have found
this salon here in Secaucus. They have three Japanese stylists and my wife
Yumiko and I really appreciate the attention of our stylists. Noriko cuts my hair
and my wife and kids go to Sachiko. If you have never experienced a Japanese
hairstylist, I highly recommend Sachiko and Noriko.
I have been going to this salon for over 6 years and its amazing what they can do with hair. Imagine me before, blonde scouring pad hair in an uneven random shape, but afterwards, amazingly silky straight hair. An incredible transformation. My stylist is Sachiko, but the other stylists are amazing, too. They do everything from shampoo, cut, blow out, to Japanese straightening and Brazilian straightening (I highly recommend this)- plus I hear that they are starting a spa in the back. Norkiko did my mani pedi last week and its incredible, looks like it was just done and perfect details. Make sure to check it out!
This salon is immaculate, the staff is courteous and friendly, and WOW!! what a difference the right hair stylist can make!! Nicole is one of my new favorite people in my life. She actually listened to what I wanted done and didn't try to cut all my hair off! She recommended AND gave me the best hi-lights I have gotten in a long time. This really is like having a ritzy Manhattan salon with all the comforts of home, right here in the heart of Tarrytown. The complimentary Cappuccino and Italian Cookies also added to the experience! I almost can't wait for my hair to grow so that I can go back again! Thanks Nicole!! GREAT JOB Hair on the Hudson!!
We Honor our valued clients.
I am the owner of this 30 year business/service to the community. I will address the review titled "Avoid at all costs- HORRIBLY RUN PLACE"
The little sawed-off pip-squeak (Dean L.) below, who wrote this review is a client who had been coming for haircuts for 2 years, negating his claim of sub-par service. He never once showed up on time which we always accommodated. Upon his last visit, the pip-squeak comes 45 min. late for his appointment. The stylists who he insists on is now booked for the remainder of the day. When informed that she has no remaining availability and that it would not have been a problem if he had been on time, He becomes highly insulted, whining like a little girl and writes the fraudulent review contained with-in.
Avoid at all costs- HORRIBLY RUN PLACE.
You should avoid this place at all costs. The service is subpar at best, you're not treated like your business matters and to top it all off have your haircut by an unprofessional staff.
The owner of this place is the real joke. Dressed like a teenage boy clubber, blabbing about a bunch of nonsense, let his temper run wild and being nasty to customers is really one of the main reasons to avoid this place. Do yourself a favor and go to get your hair cut elsewhere!
11 year customer calls it quits.
Wow, is all I can say. After 11 years I am changing salons. I went in for a single process and hi light. Once I got there, the colorist and I decided to only go with single process since my hair was a bit dry. I usually get hi-lights every other visit anyway. After the coloring she washed and conditioned my hair and put toner on as she does every time I've been there. Afferwards she put some leave in conditioner on my hair. When I got the bill (normally $50 for single process-website says $40 by the way) it was $70. I asked why and she said for the toner and conditioner. I said that she always does toner and I've never been charged for it before. She said the owner is making her charge for toner and leave in conditioner now!! I paid the bill but later sent her a text that I would not be returning to that cheap #$% salon.
She said she had to charge for the gloss she put on my hair. I told that she never said it was gloss, but it was toner and conditioner. She said she was sorry she should have told me that is was $20 extra before she did it and offered to give me $20 off the next time I come in.
Well, I told her I need to make a change after 11 years. I do not appreciate being treated this way and will take my money elsewhere.
