Editorial Review for IKEA – by Kamila Przybylski

In Short
Hopen, Malm, Aneboda-no, those are not suggestions to name your pet, but the Swedish names of IKEA's designer furnishings and decorative odds and ends. Created with a "one-way" layout in mind, shoppers weave through a labyrinth of seemingly endless showrooms stocked with equipment to creatively accessorize every room under the sun. With patrons ranging from groups of freshmen students looking to outfit their tiny dorms to entire families, the store offers a huge repertory of styles, patterns and colors for every unique taste. And speaking of tastes, the small restaurant just beyond the cashiers serves up traditional Swedish fare for those who worked up an appetite.

For the best Ikea Delivery service in New York from both the Elizabeth and Paramus, NJ Ikea stores check out www.IKEA-DELIVERY-ALTERNATIVE dot com They will pick you up from Ikea and drive you home with your stuff and help take all of your stuff into your apartment for $80 You can even get them to pick you up in the city and take you round trip while they wait for you to shop starting at $95, round-trip. Great reviews of this service on Apartment Therapy and in Time Out New York magazine

Pros: You save about $30 and get same-day delivery for the service Ikea takes a week to do

Cons: NONE. Even has a plush, clean vehicle and lets you play music that's on your Ipod on the way back over the car sound system

IKEA is freaking huge. Especially for folks from Manhattan, bringing back large items is simply not doable without a car or some extra cash for delivery. Whats worse is they now charge for the most obscure things -- likes BAGs. Its best if you have your own bags to keep bringing back. What a pain.

Pros: Variety, Furniture, Value

Cons: Service, Busy
