I love this place. Naheed is AMAZING. not only is she great with hair and makeup her personality is amazing too. i guaranteed you will leave their looking fabulous. Def. ask for Naheed. Shes the best.

legends studio spa. You must see Malissa. I have blond hair and i get a #1 fade. I dont like to see the line. She blended my hair very well. I highly recommend her.

An excellent salon. I have been going to Legends for about a year. I would not consider going anywhere else. The staff are very friendly and professional. They treat each cleint as an individual. The owner really takes the time to get to know each cleint and will always remember your name and ask about you. It's a fun and friendly place to spend an afternoon while getting your hair done. Not to mention they have the most resonable prices I have ever seen. I've paid twice as much at other salons for half the service. They are great dedicated and hard working people! I would reccomend Legends to my friends.

No-No for ethnic hair. When making my appointment on the phone, I asked if there was anyone there experienced in working with ethnic hair. I wanted a shampoo and blow-out. I was told they could accommodate me. When I arrived, my tech, Kathy told me she thought I would have short hair (why would she think this?). No one asked the length of my hair on the phone (my hair is mid-back length and not coarse). She was not experienced in working with textured hair at all. She first attempted to roller set me, then realized I would not fit under the dryer. Then she decided to blowdry it, but first wanted to comb through my hair with a fine-tooth comb. I decided to comb it out myself with my personal comb. My hair, upon leaving, looked worse than when I arrived. Really poorly done. Kathy tried very hard, and was quite pleasant, she simply did not have experience with my hair type.

The place is small, and very casual. The owner also keeps her dog in the shop. I have been trying to find a salon closer to home, but Legends does not compare well to the Manhattan salons I frequent.

User review by leanyjoan. Legends Hair and Nail Studio is one of the best kept secrets in Jersey City. All of the stylists are very knowledgeable with haircuts and up-to-date on the latest styles. The massage therapist is wonderful - I would highly recommend trying Legends.
