I agree with all the problems at this office

I used a doctor here for years. When she went on maternity leave I was never notified. A note would have been nice, so I could establish a new doctor at the practice. (Years before, I had been using Dr. Rakowski, and when he decided to limit his practice to oncology, I did get notified). I ended up very, very sick and had no doctor to request, so it was suggested I see the nurse practicioner. That was fine initially...but when my condition did not improve, I landed in the nurse practitioner's office again, having to plead for a doctor. A trip to the emergency room for dehydration got me the medical attention I required. I left the practice for over 3 years.

I have now established a new doctor at this practice, due to the positive feedback from two family members. I told him of my prior problems...and had a discussion with the office manager (the latter, due to the fact that when you call you can never get someone on the phone to make an appointment for you. And the 12-1:30pm lunch break is just insane!). Both took note, but I do not have hopes that the staff situation will change anytime soon.

rudest staff ever! (seriously)

I agree with all the reviewers, this office has the rudest staff ever. The contradiction here is that generally you are at the doctor because you don't feel well, but to have to deal with rude, dismissive, uneducated morons is beyond compare. I like my doctor and have not left yet since she does continue to participate in my medical plan, however, when I go to see her for my annual physical I also make sure to mention how badly I am treated by the office and lab staff there. She is always a little surprised but can't imagine I am the first person she hears this from. Maybe next year I will try to find a new doctor. Thank goodness I haven't had a serious illness where I would have to deal with these folks! I would not recommend this practice to anyone looking for a new doctor.

Staff Drove Me Away

I have nothing but the utmost praise and respect for the doctors that I saw at Prospect Medical. The staff, however, made my stomach turn! I was continually disrespected. I have never been treated so rudely by any doctor's office! The doctors are great, but I was repeatedly disrespected by several members of the staff, from the receptionists to the nurses in the lab. This utter disrespect has driven me away from this group. I am in the process of finding a new doctor, and you can count on the fact that staff courtesy will be a determining factor in which doctor I choose! Either the staff is overworked and underpaid, or it never learned any manners. Whatever the case, patients deserve to be treated with dignity, respect, and concern! Moreover, it should never take over a week for basic lab work, nor should it take a week for x-ray results.

• Cons: RUDE staff, awful parking, inconvenient hours
