Very Good Food and Good Sevice.
As soon as we stepped inside, a person welcomed me a big smile (not a robotic smile. I hate those mechanic smiles) I felt so welcomed.
Atmostphere was cute and clean. Each table had a cute fresh flower arrangement; kind of dark a bit though.
Our waiter was rushing to present specials where the restaurant was not busy. He made me think those menus were not that "special." But, it's OK, They were all nice after all
The color of my app. and main dish was so dark. It didn't look pretty. Maybe some more colors around the meal were needed; I don't know...but, other dishes looked so cute.
Wow, it was so tasty. We cannot judge the food by its looks. The sauce was so smooth and light. It was like fresh-home-made cooking; not too salty, not too sweet, just great.
We are definately going back .
Best French Restaurant in Northern NJ. This restaurant is an amazing find in a town overcrowded with boring, sub-par restaurants. The service is amazing and the food is exquisite. I dined there last year for Valentine's Day and then again last week to celebrate my father's birthday. Both visits were flawless. Our most recent visit was mid-week and the 6 of us chose to do the 5-course prix fixe dinner. Each one of us loved every course and for the price ($44.50pp), it was an unbelievable deal. Some of the favorites were the Lobster Bisque, Crabmeat Strudel, Seafood Crepe and Veal Stroganoff. When I was there last year, I had the Beef Wellington which still remains to be one of the most delicious meals I've had in a long time. If you love traditional French Cuisine, give Latour a try. I suggest going mid-week so that it's easy to get a table and you can enjoy the prix fixe dinner. Don't forget it's BYOB!
A hidden GEM. There are a number of "Big Name" restaurants in the northern NJ area, but this one is a great hidden gem. The service was extremely good. The entire staff was very attentive, while giving us plenty of time to enjoy our conversation between the 5 course meal. The owner, Michael Latour, visitied our table to ensure our satisfaction. The food, service, and value far exceeded our expectations.
A Disgrace. Considering the ratings this restaurant gets, it was a disgrace- - - in every way. We waited an hour, with a reservation, because (we believe) they gave away our table and had to scramble to find a place for us (by the kitchen). The service was, at best, amateurish. The food was ordinary. And, the attitude of the owner when we complained was confrontational. Instead of apologizing, he justified his lack of care. Instead of trying to keep customers, he was insulting. DON'T GO.
