Good but not great

We like Vesuvios because the workers are very nice and are quick with orders. The pizza is not the best tasting, but its not too bad. Honestly, when I think "NJ pizza" I expected better, but, being new to NJ (from the west coast) I find the west coast pizza better (in fact, I prefer our local Dominos).

If you like so so pizza served quickly, and with a smile, Vesuvios is the place for you.

  • Pros: quick, reasonably priced
  • Cons: quality varies greatly, flavor only so so

My Brooklyn friends; favorite pizza parlor

The owner, who is from Southern Italy has a huge garden behind the restaurant. I nthe summers yhey use fresh tomotoes and cucumbers on thier salads. Fresh Peppers and basil on thier pizza. The eggplant parmagina is fresh from the garden too and it is the best you will find anywhere. They also make home made bread for thier sanwhiches.

Their pizza's are as good as it gets. My friends from Brooklyn used to laugh at me when I raved about my local pizza parlor in NJ...not until they trid it. The've never had a fresh tomato, eggplant, pepper, onion and basil pizza who's ingediants were picked from a garden 1 hour before.....
