DO NOT GET A WEDDING CAKE HERE!!!!!!. This is place is incredibly unprofessional. My friend ordered her wedding cake at B & W Bakery. She paid in full and told them to delivery it between 4:00pm and 4:30pm. When we called the hall at 4:40 to see if the cake had arrived, it had not and the bride was almost there. When the bride called to find out where the cake was, they at first didn't know what she was talking about and then said "Oh it's still here, we'll bring it there now." UNEXCEPTABLE! I then called them back and asked the manager to refund my friends delivery deposit since they were late and she paid in full. He then asked me why should he do that because the cake is on its way. When I told him he didn't do his job he then said to me "Do you want the cake delivered or Not." Mind you the cake has already been paid in full. I then told him if it is not there when the bride arrives she will speak to her attorneys and hung up. The cake did arrive and the delivery girl had the gull to say she was lost, when they told the bride it was still in the shop. They also did not delivery the cake in a box, they walked in with uncovered and the bride had to carry the top piece home on a plate, because they didn’t bring a box.

If you’re getting married, go elsewhere, unless you want your cake not to show up and deal with nasty management.

The Best. Despite the change of owners, B&W Bakery is still the

HOME OF THE HEAVY CRUMB CAKE. I just went there yesterday

and the crumb cake was absolutely delicious and it had the same great taste!

I have been living in Hackensack for ten years and never once

have I been disappointed. I strongly recommend the delicious

crumb cake and just about everything else in that fantastic bakery

Unbelievable crumb and cup cakes!. I've been living in bergen county for a long time now and I have to say, B&W Bakery makes the most incredible heavy crumb cake. Everytime I pick up a batch and bring it home, my family seems to devour it in minutes. And the kids absolutely love the homemade cup cakes from this family owned business...if you're ever in hackensack NJ, this is a must try bakery. With the same great taste and service it has maintained for years, this bakery is one of NJ's finest.

It's been sold!. Just to let the faithful know, B&W has been sold. I'm consoling a co-worker right now who loved everything B&W made. They were known for their crumb cakes and my friend would have a birthday any day just to get a peice of their cake. He is afraid to go back for fear its changed for the worse. Just be aware if you are traveling a distance to find an old friend, they are not there any longer.

The Best. My parents absolutely adored B & W, even after we moved up to NY state in 1985, we still would make the trip down every few weeks, and for birthdays. I have yet to find another bakery remotely comparable to B & W. I still go down there for the birthday cakes, my wedding cake, the crumb cake, and eclairs. I have never been disappointed with anything I have bought there. The same people have worked there for years, and they know me when I call to place an order. The service and quality is beyond compare. For over 40 years B & W has been a staple for family, and I hope it remains that way for another 40!

B&W is the Best. I have tried many bakeries in my years, but none compare to the service and taste of B&W's. I have been getting cakes and other goodies for at least 20 years and wouldn't have it any other way.
