Bad Business. My wife and I dined here using a Groupon, good for two dinners (www.groupon dot com/north-jersey/deals/greengrill-rodizio-1) bought for $28. We sat next to another family with the same Groupon, whose bill came before ours and noticed that the tax was calculated for a meal valued at $59.90. The family pointed this out to the waiter, and he came back with tax only on $28.

So, when our bill came (with the tax applied on $59.90) I asked the waiter to have it corrected - which resulted in me having to speak to the owner directly. When I pointed out that the taxable amount should be on the $28 that we paid for the meal and that the table next to ours received this correction, the owner (Mr. Han, I believe) got upset, complained about how he's not making money on Groupon deals, and yelled that I was being cheap over being taxed for "a free meal". I pointed out that the meal wasn't free and I would be happy to pay the tax on what I paid for the Groupon, which is $28. But, he raised his voice and told me to "Get the f&#k out of here." So, I tipped the waiter $10 (since tip for service should be based on original value) and left.

After I got home, I did some research. First of all, a Monday dinner should be $27.95 per person as advertised on their website. (www.greengrillrodizio dot com). The owner tried to charge the tax for two $29.95 meals, trying to max out with the weekend price. Secondly, there were no desserts, which he claimed that Groupon made a mistake and the dinners do not include desserts. Lastly, although tax laws differ from state to state around the issue of Groupon goods (www.forbes dot com/sites/janetnovack/2012/03/26/24-states-moving-towards-decision-on-taxing-groupon-livingsocial-deals/), and New Jersey has yet to determine a clear ruling around it, the owner's conduct was just wrong, and for that he gets this nice long review.

Mr. Han, if you're reading this, why don't YOU GET THE F&#K OUT OF BUSINESS!

Once was bad enough. The best thing I can say about this place is they offer free refills on soft drinks.

I went for the lunch "special", which granted; is only 10 bucks, but it's not a "special" if what they are doing is serving you a way cheapened menu, all they offered was some drumsticks and sausage, and once, and only once during lunch did a server come by with beef kabobs, and heres the kicker, it wasn't even Brazilian Rodizio, it's Korean food mostly, this place is obviously owned by Koreans, first time I ever saw Kimchi at a Brazilian Rodizio. And they do have an all you can eat salad bar, but the lettuce was wilted, and the rest of the items tasted like they were left over from the previous nights dinner. When I asked one of the servers if they were going to be coming out with some beef soon, it had been his 2nd time at table with sausage, he rudely told me: "What do you expect for $10.00, come back at night for dinner at $30.00 if I wanted beef". Maybe the dinner is worth it, but the service was so bad, and the food was no better, that there is no way I would go back and try the dinner. And don't get me wrong, I really enjoy Korean food, but I went there expecting Brazilian Rodizio; not Kimchi, and not even good Kimchi at that. If you want an all yo can eat salad, there are a bunch of places way better for salad, and if you want Korean food, there also many places with better Korean food. And they were extremely slow bringing out the food, they never had more than 1 server out at a time, and when his skewer was empty, he wouldn't come back out for 10 minutes it seemed, we were there for a little more than an hour, and they only came to our table 4 or a max 5 times, and again, only with drumsticks and sausage.

Greengrill Churrascaria? Never Again. It was quite possibly the worst experience we ever had at any restaurant. We were told by some of our friends that Churrascarias are excellent restaurants for meat lovers, so we decided to go to the Greengrill Churrascaria in Hackensack NJ. I don't know about the other Churrascarias, but this one leaves a lot to the imagination and very little substance on the table and the service no better than any $2.00 badly cooked hot dog joint despite steep prices of approx $50.00 per person.

We got to the Churrascaria early in the evening and we were promptly seated in one large room beyond the salad bar. The self-serve salad bar wasn't bad, they had all kinds of fresh greens, rice, shrimp and other delicacies. But, here the story when it came to the main course.

They have this red/green artifact on the table; if your turn the green side up it means that you desire more meat, if you turn the red side up it means that you are finished with the meat and you want to move to dessert and coffee, or whatever.

We had our "artifact" green side up. We were served some (not bad) vegetables and three thin slices of grilled skirt steak on each plate which we ate in about 2 minutes, we then waited for the waiter to comeback to our table, about ten minutes later he came back with the same skirt meat on a skewer, we got another three slices and off he went to serve another table and another ten minute wait.

He came back with the same skirt steak again and we asked if he didn?t have any other kind of meat (we were told that they serve filet mignon, porterhouse, New York cuts, roast beef, fresh ham, skirt steak and other kinds of meats) At this point, we asked about the above cuts of meat and he said that they were not available, only grilled and sliced skirt steak. Wait 15 min.

He came back with salmon this time which he served on our plates (one little piece each) and off he went again. We then turned our artifact red side up and we left. Do not recommend this rip-off to anyone.

Go if you like beef.... If you love meat, you'll love this place. I go with my husband and son who like the meat, but I eat the sushi. Don't get excited, those of you who don't like meat but love sushi. It's not worth it to go for sushi...go to Minado in Little Ferry instead. The place is just ok for me, but my hubby thinks it's good.
