Hooray for Apple! – This store is incredible in so many ways. The location, people, products, and even their exchange policy are all fantastic. Leave it to apple to not only make unbelievable products for you to try out here, but to also have a store designed so contemporary like this. I give this place and it’s products an A+ for everything!
First of all, if you’re a tourist or somebody who has never been to an Apple store, then it’s time to try it out. You’ll see all the latest products and get to play around with them too. This particular store is open and spacious, and the few times I’ve gone it hasn’t been that crowded. Secondly, once you purchased an item and by chance you are having a problem with it, do not hesitate to bring it in. You would be surprised by the customer service you receive here. I had to see it for myself when my husband returned his iPhone because he was having serious problems with it. After I saw a painless exchange of phones I knew I needed an iPhone for myself and knew exactly where to get it from. The staff was incredibly pleasant and responsive to our needs.
Truthfully, I love to go in this store whether or not I purchase something from it every time. I feel like I learn more about the apple products I already have just from visiting here time to time. Everyone here is educated in apple products and is a tremendous help.
Apple's best location in the City!! – Apple's retail location in the meat packing district is a great location for Apple loyalists(like me) to get the personal attention they need from their specialists on anything Apple. Unlike the 5th Ave Flagship location, It's very easy to get help when you need it. Apple ensure great customer service and it delivers here. The product selection along with the loft style retail space gives great ample space to walk without needing to jump hurdles over other customers. I would definitely suggest this location if your needing delicate attention to your Apple needs!
Avoid the TERRIBLE customer service ! – ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE ! I've lived in NYC many years and have had my share of bad customer service ...but you would think with all the hype about this apple store...you'd expect more. My first attempt at service was via telephone ...what a nightmare ! They transfer you to the wrong place...the wrong people and then you get attitude. What a waste of my time...try it yourself ...you will be amazed at the incompetence. Then I went in and got rude robot-like responses from the "geniuses" there. They had no common sense, let alone, technical knowledge It's a very sterile impersonal atmosphere . Very off-putting and frustrating. I waited around while "service people" stood around waiting for other scheduled clients that never showed. I swear there were four people doing nothing while I waited a half hour. And the management couldn't care any less. I gave up and went to a store called Tekserve on 23rd street. They were quick, courteous and personable. I got exactly what I needed really fast. I highly recommend you steer clear of these over-hyped stores like Apple that really don't care about your business.
Excellent Service – Bought my iPhone here and the service was excellent. The staff was very knowledgeable and were able to help me set up the phone. I was in and out of the store and able to be on my way in under 30 mins. I would go to this store before the 5th ave. location because the crowds are not bad at all.
A sprawling electronic wonderland in the neighborhood of high heels and cobblestone. – In Short
Apple, with its sleek, ultramodern products, seems like a perfect fit for one of New York's hippest neighborhoods. The Meatpacking District location is the biggest Apple Store in Manhattan, with three floors of attractive electronics displayed under giant loft-style windows. A glass spiral staircase connects each floor: First floor houses desktops and laptops, the second floor iPods, and the third floor the Genius Bar and software. What makes this location unique are the free four-part, two-hour workshops on Aperture, Logic Pro and Final Cut Pro.
Hits: The free workshops are a fantastic resource for Apple's devoted customers.
Misses: The store might have every kind of iMac and iPod, but it's missing one major thing--a bathroom.
