Overcharged me by $410 & REFUSED to reimburse!!!.
I went and got a $45 mani/pedi having never used them before. Per my receipt, I was charged $45, however, the next day my online bank statement read a charge of $455! I called my bank and they told me Spa Belles reported a $455 charge to them. I immediately put the charge (and resulting overdraft fees) into dispute and called Spa Belles to let them know. The woman demanded to see my statement, which I faxed over (covering over the unrelated charges). When I called back, she demanded I re-fax with all of my charges visible. When I refused, she started screaming saying I was lying to them and demanding to know what I was covering up/hiding. While she accused/screamed at me, I asked to speak with her supervisor. She informed me her supervisor did not and would not speak to me and continued to verbally assault me over the phone as I kept trying to (now less calmly) explain I was not paying the $410 overcharge. They hung up on me.
I called my bank back immediately and discovered that right after my conversation with them, they charged my account an ADDITIONAL $45! The bank agent believed they did this to insure some sort of payment since they $455 would certainly be reimbursed to me. I'm now disputing that charge as well. I will NEVER use ANY branch of Spa Belles again due to this incident and the way I was treated. There is no excuse for their vile behavior, their mistreatment of a customer and the way they tried to flip the tables on ME saying I had something to hide! I've now had to cancel my card so they don't try to charge it further. My bank also noted that certain credit card machines allow a business to punch one total for the receipt and another that reports to the bank. It wouldn't surprise me if this is common practice at Spa Belles on 7th and 15th, but they royally screwed up by thinking a customer wouldn't notice a $410 overcharge!
Attitude!. A rushed pedicure, attitude when i asked her about something and not even a thank you when i handed her the tip! Not worth the $30 pedicure! i will be taking my business elsewhere!
Full-body relaxation is closer, quicker and cheaper than Manhattanites might have thought..
This bright spa chain may look like just another spot for a quick polish change. But past the rows of manicure stations, pedicure tubs and black leather massage chairs are private rooms that host facials, waxing, massages and exotic body wraps--even microdermabrasion and oxygen therapy. The convenience is made even more so with 30-minute express facials ($40), which include steaming, deep cleansing, a face massage and mask.
