excellent but management not to expectations. This is one of the finest hotels in New York. Rooms are excellent, and interior is luxurious but management fails to meet the expectations of its standards. I had an unpleasant experience with housekeeping. I also had kind of unpleasant experience upstairs restaurant. Hotel has newest technology of touch screen, unfortunately no clue how to repair it when it fails. Despite paying a high cost per night for business cum leisure trip for 8 night stay and reporting 3-4 formal request, I didn`t received even a courtesy call from Management to let me know they care about it. Overall I do agree that that suite and interior is excellent but management not to expectations and lack of well trained personal leaves you an unpleasant stay.
Citysearch Editorial Review. A European-style boutique hotel located on a bustling midtown block, the Kimberly draws a mix of business travelers and families on vacation. Each of the 192 guest rooms are decorated with elegant antique furnishings, ornate bronzed mirrors and marble baths, not to mention posh feather beds made up with Frette linens. Rooms range in size and amenities: There’s the 230-square-foot deluxe guestroom; the 385-square-foot studio suite (which includes a fully equipped kitchenette); the 600-square-foot one-bedroom suite (with a private balcony); and the 863-square-foot two-bedroom suite (with two marble baths, living area, dining area, three televisions, kitchenette and balcony). Rates start at around the $200 mark and head upwards. Speaking of which, don’t forget to check out the hotel’s swank rooftop bar and lounge, Upstairs.
This is the stuff dreams are made of. This is by far one of the best hotels I have come across. Besides the gracious surroundings , it's the people who work at the Kimberly hotel that make it as great as it is.
SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF THIS!!!. This hotel was a palace for only 200 bucks!!! The rooms were large, they felt like a fancy guest house!! and the views were to die for! then we were walking distance to everything! I felt as if I was staying at the plaza hotel. The rooms smell fresh, the furniture and beds are all new and comfortable and the bathrooms are bright and very spacious. This hotel is a must for anyone wanting high quality, high class, very great place for couples or a family! I RECOMMEND!
Not Great. Very mediocre, poor service, three-starish rooms, just plain run-down. With major refurbishing could be promising with it's incredible location.
