I walked by Fabi's hair studio and saw Fabi give me a big smile through the window. I decided to walk in and take a chance on cut and color-I was thrilled with her color, highlights and cut. I have been coming back ever since and love my hair every time! Fabi is such a pleasure and I am thrilled I am her client.

New York's Best Cut and Color. Hi, I found Fabi's salon on the internet though one of those deal sites and figured I'd give it a try. Boy, was I happy I did, my hair never looked better and the color is fantastic. I absolutely love it. The stylist, Laura, did a wonderful job while keeping me entertained and comfortable with her funny stories and cute accent (latin, I think). And their assistant Pat gave me a wash like never before in a salon, her hands are magical. Thanks girls, I will definately be seeing you all again as will all my friends and coworkers. I took a buch of your cards (hope you don't mind) and have been giving them to everyone I know. Thank!! Genny

Ask me if I will return to Fabi's Hair Studio..
I previously had a bad haircut and went to Fabi Salon hoping that they could save my hair because I have read many good reviews about their service and their talent. I was really hoping they would fix my bad haircut.
I walked in and was greeted by Fabi and her ‘assistant’. Both were very personable and I saw Fabi’s ‘assistant’ tending to Fabi’s hair so I thought I was in good hands. I explained to the assistant that I needed fixing and hoped she could help me. Her assistant looked at my hair and told me that she can’t believe someone would cut my hair that way. (Hey, I got a bad haircut that is why I am here.) She asked me what I wanted and I explained to her I wanted to full bangs (I provided multiple pictures for her reference – You know the long bangs that falls over your eyebrows) and just to trim off a little off the back of my hair. She told me it could be done. I was so excited to see how it would come out.
She started working on my hair while constantly commenting on how badly cut and dry my hair was. (YES! I understand. This is why I am here for you to HELP me) First she cut my bangs and I already knew something was not right. My hair was wet when she started cutting and with her ‘experience’ she did not remember that hair is longer when it is wet. She cut my bangs assuming it will look the same when it’s dry. Why did I let her continue? Because I trusted that the outcome will good.
As she continues to cut my hair, I started to notice she was cutting my hair really short. I told her that I did not want short hair. She said, “Don’t worry.” She got scissor-happy and kept cutting. Time and time again, I told her NOT to cut my hair short. She kept telling me that she will not. (Mind you my hair was medium length when I walked into the salon.) She finally stopped cutting my hair when I got irritated and Fabi told her to stop.
When she was done, my hair was barely touching my shoulders and since my bangs have dried my bangs were two inches above my eyebrows. I looked AWFUL. She tried to assure me that I looked good. I KNEW it was NOT the case because she then said one of the WORST things you can EVER say to your client is, “Hair grows.” Are you kidding me?
I should have gotten up and walked away. Will I return to Fabi Salon? Definitely not. I already told my co-workers and friends not to go to Fabi Salon.

We (specifically I am) are so sorry that your experience here was not all that you had hoped for. Remembering you clearly, I do recall your telling the stylist what your expectations were and it seems that there may have been some miscommunication as to the length. I do thank you for coming though and, I would like to turn your opinion around myself if you would come just one more time. I promise I will do your hair myself and you will be very happy with it. And, just so you and anyone else knows, the stylist who worked on your hair has undergone extensive consultation training and is under close watch so what you experienced will not happen again. Again, if you are willing to let me rctify this misunderstanding I will take extra care to ensure your satisfaction and will cut your hair gratis in doing so.

Excellent styling!!. This salon is absolutely excellent. I would recommend it without any hesitation. If you come here, you will not be disappointed. I've been seeing Fabi for over 3 years now, and I'm still happy every single time!

Thank you Shardae, I really appreciate your kind words. I try very hard not to let anyone be disappointed anthough sometime it does happen. Fabi is fabulous. Fabi is really an artist with color--she never writes down what she does to my hair, so it's a little different every time (I like it that way) but it always looks great. I know that's not easy since I've had a couple other people color it in the past and they didn't work out nearly as well. I always get compliments on the cuts she does, too. Plus, she's a sweetheart, so there's a nice, easy atmosphere in her salon.

I think that's how I got that moniker; by giving fabulous service to all my clients. I'd love to say I secretly write all the formulas down somewhere in a little black book but, I really don't. I'm just lucky to be able to know what works for what color we want to achieve. Anyway, variety is good if you like it. I am glad that I make people look good and feel happy so I'll keep doing what I do. Fabi -

Great hair studio!. I have been going to Fabi for the past 6 years (since she was at her former salon). I am so happy to see that she has opened her own place - she keeps it clean, professional, and its never overwhelmingly loud or crowded. She is always friendly and is very intuitive when it comes to color - all i have to say is "dark" or "red", very general terms, and she always does a beautiful job. I highly recommend coming to Fabi's salon

Best blowout and color EVER!. I walked in for a standard blowout and walked out with the BEST Blowout and color in the city! I've tried a few places from the chain salons to the Madison Ave salons and Fabi's is now my only go to salon! Laura did an amazing blowout and Fabi suggested the perfect color. My hair is shiny and silky. While Laura was doing my hair, Fabi did a beatiful color on another client. Both women are very sweet and listened to every request. This is the PERFECT salon!

Natalie, at Fabi's Hair Studio you'll never get anything "Standard"; we always give our clients the absolute best service. It takes effort to get the right kind of stylists for our staff but when we do, they are experts in all aspects of hair care and will give everyone their "Perfect" look and style. And, we know that listeng to a client's input is paramount to achieving the look they see for themselves, that is why all our staff undergo consultation intense training before they even wash someone's hair. Best Salon in Midtown East. I go to Fabi for all my hair needs. I always walk out satisfied with my new look and look forward to the next appointment! She knows what she is doing and is a true professional. No matter what your schedule is she will have time to fit you in. I work in Connecticut so by the time I get back to the city it is very late. I love my color and my cut and definitely recommend you book an appointment ASAP!

Very happy client. When I first moved to the city I was looking for a new hair stylist who I could always see. After the first procedure I saw her for, I was so happy to have found her! I trust her completely and walk out of the salon so pleased every time. She simply knows what she is doing. I trust that when I tell her what I am looking for, that is how I will walk out the door every time, usually even better than expected. Fabi is also a kind, personable and beautiful person. I recommend her to everyone! :)

Manhattan's best hair stylist. Fabi is a wonderful hair stylist who is extremely detail oriented, friendly and enjoyable. I have been a customer of Fabi's for over four years and would not trust anyone else with my hair. I recommend that everyone use Fabi. You will not be sorry.
