“Overall I'd say this is a good stop before heading to a show/game at the garden if you want a clean, relatively quiet atmosphere.”
“... the two are great places to grab a drink and/or a bite to eat before a big g.”
“The food is actually pretty good too.”
“They have a good beer selection and a nice, typical "NYC Irish style bar" atmosphere.”
“Still a great place to go for a night out with friends and the food is pretty good, too.”
“I've been a frequent guest of the good bartenders and hosts of Mustang Harry's for over two years.”
“Its a great place to go with friends for happy hour, the prices are right and bartendars so friendly and fun.”
“group of my friends and i went to mustang harrys before the justin timberlake concert, and although the place looked pretty full we were given a booth in a little under 5 minutes, which was perfect as we could have a drink at the bar first.”
It's back!!. I've worked in the MSG area for 14 years and loved Harry's when I first came to the area. Like many places, it fell into a rut after about 10 years, and I went there less often. I went back yesterday, and it has a new chef and new manager, and it was just like I remembered it back in 1998, only better! A full line of craft beers on tap, and a half dozen new menu items that look very promising. I had the Danish spare ribs, which were listed as a special but they said they have them every day; they were as good as ribs get. The waitress was marvelous and said there's a real buzz returning to the place because of the new chef.
good atmosphere. I came here with my husband and we had a drink and some dinner. The manhattan was made right , and my penne with pesto sauce was not bad for a sports bar. If you r looking for a quick bite this is a good choice.
Outstanding Sports Bar. I come to Harry's often for a business lunch and for drinks after work or a meal before a Garden event. It never disappoints. The lamb lollipops are the most unique appetizer you'll find in a sports bar and quite good. Nearly everything else on the menu is outstanding. Best of all are the bartenders.
Favorite sports bar in NYC. I love this place. Gotta be one of the longest bars I have ever seen, so there is never a problem getting a drink. The staff are all very friendly and you would not believe how good the food is. I highly recommend this restaurant/bar for anyone who likes food, booze, and sports. Check it out.
Great Service and Good Food.. My fiancee and I love this place. Everyone is always so friendly (esp our lovely jamaican waitress - don't know her name) Bartender is always great. This is just a cozy place where the food is good and service is friendly - which in this big city is not always easy to find.
I am in love !!!. This restaurant is truly outstanding, it's my new fave recommendation. The best of best service. They really care about the customer and they tend to you literally hand and foot. They check on you at just the right times and are extremely helpful. I am a very indecisive person when I see new stuff in a menu but the wait staff guided me in the right direction. I ordered a chicken dish and I didn't expect chicken to taste this good. Everything we ordered was incredible including the cocktails.
Quick bite by MSG.
There isn't much in the area to begin with and if you are coming from MSG it's the perfect spot for a drink. The food is pretty good actually. Not too pricey either. I had a good time. I wouldn't go back for a special occasion but definitely worth the drop in if your hungry before or after a show.
Nice and saloonish. Its a shame the awning is ugly.haha. I've noticed the outside appearance has an affect on whether or not I decide on trying it out. Luckily I was more in in mood for a drink and just so happened to order food as well. It's a shame it has such bad reviews. I'd suggest it if your in the area.
Great Bar, but Food we had was Not Good!. Very nice bar and atmosphere, but the food we had was almost inedible. Skip the cheese steak, can't remember what the other person had, but was also not good. Wait staff rushed. Yes, it was a MSG concert night.
You'll come because it's by MSG, you'll stay for the people. I'm just wild about Harry's on 7th Ave. Sure some nights it's all about the Rangers. Or the Knicks (though not so much this year). Or Parrot-heads, bless 'em. But mostly it's about friends and fine beverages. I've been a frequent guest of the good bartenders and hosts of Mustang Harry's for over two years. It started because the second time I went in, the bartender remembered my name. The third time, another bartender knew my name and remembered what I drank. It only got better. The burgers are superb, the onion rings crispy and filled with actual onion, and I care about that. But it's the terrific staff, who clearly love their jobs, that makes you feel you are in a real neighborhood place. Because you are.
Overpriced drinks. Came here for dinner on Friday Night before a concert at MSG. Drinks are ridiculously overpriced $5.50 at the bar, $6 at the table for a domestic bottle. Food is average. Place is deceptively big with a few tv's in front.
