“That said, Justine is correct that there's a bar, and that it which seems to be very convivial - everybody talking and having fun, and yes the walls and even the tables are lined with baseball memorabilia that provide a nice distraction.”
“great bar and a large collection of sports memorabilia one of the oldest men's rooms in NY.”
“This is some of the worst food in any irish pub in New York.”
“Great atmosphere, great drink selections (although I'm pregnant and had to restrain myself!”
“great bar staff”
Foley's on 33rd: Fun, but don't eat the food.. Justine Goldman’s “editorial review” carefully avoided any mention of the FOOD at Foley’s and with good reason. This is some of the worst food in any irish pub in New York. The tastelessness of it all, from their specialty burger, through the apple pie, would to difficult to overstate. That said, Justine is correct that there’s a bar, and that it which seems to be very convivial - everybody talking and having fun, and yes the walls and even the tables are lined with baseball memorabilia that provide a nice distraction. The wait staff and even the busboys are smiley and pleasant. So my advice: Stop in for a drink and some fun...chat with the barkeep, waitresses and busboys -- but don’t eat at Foley’s.
Citysearch Editorial Review. It may be Irish, but this Murray Hill bar combines two of America's greatest pastimes: Baseball and booze. Add to that an extensive collection of baseball memorabilia and tasty pub grub, and Foley's is a solid destination on game day.
