I landed in NYC midnight and was whisked off to eat my favorite bi bim bap and soo yook ever since a customer recommended it to me 3 years ago. Open 24 hours, it's Korea transplanted to 'merica without genericization. I'm not Korean, I don't know why the two reviewers before me this year suffered a bad experience - have only ever experienced fast, courteous service and utterly authentic food. (Perhaps they were just having a bad day - try working in a restaurant sometime, I know of what I speak!) I think of it as akin to 'chicken foot soup' Chinese restaurants - meaning, not for those who seek mainstream westernized Korean food - if you want your tongue, tripe and cow cartilage fix, its all here, with lashings of free extras like a pile of kimchee and a strange green pickle on a bed of raw napa. Authentic!

this restaurant is discriminatory against anyone who is not korean!! i have had similar experiences at this restaurant. they will not serve you if you are not korean. and if you are korean and go here, you are only supporting the cause. EXTREMELY aggravating experience here. In addition, i've had hard plastic pieces in my soup, which ended the rest of my meal/dinner. went home hungry both times i ate here!!

The first time we came here our order was not taken for a good 30 minutes. After the order was taken, food did not show for another 45 minutes. The second time we came, it was the same. When questioned about this, the server will, as expected, act as if they don't speak a word of english and will give you that dumb lost look like they have no idea what you are saying and can't tell that you're upset. The food is extremely mediocre, and priced too high for mediocre. This experience easily makes this the worst restaurant in K-town to go to.
