Great place to chill out after Christmas shopping.
I was here in November 2008 on Thanksgiving. I couldn't get enough and got back 3 times that week. The food is great and not expensive. Mostly I loved the bartenders. They made it possible to have a great 1st time experience in New York. Thank you guys!!!
Make sure you won't miss it!

Great Irish Pub.
The Blarney Rock is an old-school Irish-American pub, the sort that used to be ubiquituous in New York. The place is a total dive frequented by construction workers and Rangers/Knicks fans from nearby Madison Square Garden. A great old joint with a good jukebox, personable bartending staff, and an often raucous blue-collar crowd that evokes the gritty, hard-edged New York of yesteryear. A great place for those without pretension or those tired of bars defined by snootiness and snobbery to have a drink. Just don't come in announcing plans to do any non-union construction or you may literally not leave alive.

Hope Hacker Con Official Bar/Pub.
There's no other place to be while HOPE is in town. You will not be able to get a seat, we usually take over the place, but don't let that stop you from tryiing. The beer is flowing, and we won't get physical, unless you start something.
Marriages and relationships have been busted here :)

chill dive bar.
A non-trendy hole in the wall bar...great bartenders! The drinks are strong and reasonably priced, not crowded. Great jukebox selections! Fun time, would recommend.
