“Somewhat pricey though the interior atmosphere is airily pleasant and it does have a lovely outdoor dining area situated not on the sidewalk but on a wide concourse that cuts across the entire block from 26th to 27th Street.”
“The desserts are especially tasty (coconut cake) and the atmosphere very much like a little french bistro- not pretentious at all.”
“Great ambiance, good value food and wine I am going back tomorrow.”
“Possibly one of the best burgers I've ever had.”
“Lunch menu that constantly changes and evolves, and a nice dinner and brunch menu too.”
“This French Bistro is a great place to go for food & wine and socializing!”
“The food was very good great service, ambiance and really good price well deserve ratings we will be back soon!”
“At night, this place transforms into a great full service restaurant with strong pastas and meat entree and fresh salads.”
“Bottom line: Great value !”
“Our server gave us the best seat and our wine was quick to come.”
Best cheesburger ever.
Simple review: just the BEST cheesburger you ever tried. Nothing to compare with, even the amazing shake shack burger, is just a bit lower on taste.
Definitely, i mean DEFINITELY, you should go have this taste experience.
Travelzoo and Antique Cafe great match!!!!.
The food is wonderful and the variety is exceptional, my closed group of friends had the wonderful idea to bring me there for my birthday last week using Travelzoo special

Great place to have a romantic dinner.
This is a great restaurant. Professional staff quick and excellent food.
Very nice music soft and romantic I have the best first date with sexy guy last week!
Thank you Antique Cafe for a lovely night !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best Cheeseburger ever!. Best Cheeseburger ever! I ate here twice and wasn’t too impressed with my entrees, but the Cheeseburger are magnificent. My friend who eats here all the time also recommends the chef salad (antique cafe's chef salad). The interior is really nice, bathroom very clean! and music awesome. The waitstaff is extremely nice and accommodating.
Worst Cafe Ever!. Are you kidding me! Photos on the web might look quaint, but the music was blasting (at eight in the morning not preferred), the service was non-existent and the food tasted horrible! Not a pleasant experience!! Don't waste your time or money.
Lunch Is Served. I have never gone wrong having lunch here. Never. Though it's a small place, it's big on variety. Don't like what you see one day, the next they have a different item of lunch options and it's great to check back. I'm especially happy with their pasta dishes. Always great combos!
Great Morning Coffee Stop. I try to come here at least twice a week. Usually I get a Latte or just a Cafe Americana, but the coffee is always good, fresh and really full bodied and pretty strong. Definitely a treat on your way to work. The staff is friendly, they get to know you if you go in a lot, and are pretty good at anticipating your needs.
Like Traveling to France Without Leaving Manhattan.
Antique cafe has atmosphere. You get a little European flavor when you set foot in here. Not a Vegas version of France, but a real slice of the old world. Then there's the food. Lunch menu that constantly changes and evolves, and a nice dinner and brunch menu too. There is no sense of stagnation about this restaurant. While it remains somewhere out of a specific time or place, in limbo, there's a sense of evolution. The choices are constantly being tweaked and/or improved upon, experimented with. Sometimes it works, sometimes you have to complain, but it's nice to know they're listening and considering new, different ideas.
The real treat is to come early for Saturday brunch with a good book. If you're a people watcher its interesting to see the fashionable Chelsea types strut through here. Play it cool, and you might even recognize a musician or actor. Hmmmm, or was that just my 3rd espresso clouding my judgment? Better order another chocolate croissant while I'm indulging.
Timelessness. The name says it all. Small, intimate dining, French and American style cuisine, old world charm. Not hyper trendy, not a flash in the pan destination, and not uber-pretentious (thank god). Coming here is like having the family and friends up to the house in the country, without leaving the island. Granted, there's a here and there element of the nuttiness that makes the NYC experience what it is. Still, this place will seduce you with unwavering charm and you won't mind ordering dessert. Really, why should you, when the selections are so consistently delicious? Finally, don't even think about skipping the coffee drinks. New York City still has pockets of charm, this cafe is one of them.
