Auto Show Fever.
I have been going to the Javits convention center for nearly 5 straight years to the New York International Auto Show and it never disappoints. Every year, there is something different and appealing to just come back. This year, I will go multiple times as this year, I will be buying a new SUV and need to see what is an good choice for my family. The food is expensive and get more expensive every year that passes but what can you do because it's the only thing you can get to eat. I hope that they do more crazier things to bring in more crowds.

Trade pros and avid amateurs trek here to swap cards and find the next big thing..
The Plan
Some think it's a postmodern crystal palace, and some think it's a postmortem of resources, time and taste gone haywire. Everyone seems to agree, however, about its size and location: The Javits Center is a poorly-planned behemoth three blocks from the middle of nowhere (and any decent public transportation). On top of that, the food is an insult to taste and wallet.
The Place
Alas, aside from smaller conference venues in various midtown hotels, I.M. Pei's creation is the only show in town. Its hulking interior, which hosts famous car, home and toy shows, can accommodate multiple exhibitions in a rabbit warren of cavernous exhibition halls.
