The Scene
Inhabiting the former Good World Barber Shop (actually a front for a massage parlor) and retaining the Chinese-lettered awning, Good World is one of the standout entries in the hip Chinatown hangout game. The paned, metal-framed exterior leads into a plain barroom with industrial-grade wooden floors and unadorned walls, save for an enormous moose head behind the bar.
The Draw
A crowd of predominately Lower East Side newbies gathers here, spilling into the concrete outdoor nook. Lighting is simple and low, with squat candles and illuminated spheres dropped from above the bar. The bar offers a menu of Swedish food for lunch and dinner, plus an impressive selection of beers, including Belgian Hoegaarden and Stella Artois on tap. DJ nights (Fridays and Saturdays) feature strong lineups.

Worst service ever. Slow and unfriendly. Understaffed and unprofessional. One of my friends got up to use the restroom and the waitress snatched his chair without asking. I yanked it away from her and she responded with a sneer. How do places like this stay in business?

I hate to share utensils with other ppl at the dining table b/c we waited for an hour to get a fork. We washed our own glasses in the wine chiller b/c the glasses we got were unwashed. Our food took two hours to even arrive at the table. Took an hour for the wine to even arrive. This was simply atrocious beyond belief! My only other worse experience was with the Somalian Dominoe's Pizza Man!
