Electronic Toys are defective. We ordered three electronic toys and none of them worked. Very poor quality. I was rather disappointed.

Best Adult Toy Website and Customer Service Beyond Belief!!. Babeland is awesome. Not only is it a terrific company that is actually owned by women. Babeland is fairly progressive and supportive to the communities it represents. Babeland also has amazing toys of all kinds that are really high quality and good. I mean, if you order the cheap stuff you get the cheap stuff no matter where you shop, but this place has some really good stuff.. All of the customer service I have gotten from them has been excellent. If you call or email they actually know their stuff and help you. They are like experts. I always get all my packages on time and I know they don't charge you until you they ship to you. I called and asked after I read the last review. Honestly, if you have an interest in fun just check out their website.

NEVER USE WEBSITE TO ORDER THINGS!!!!!!!. I ordered something over 2.5 weeks ago, and it turns out one of the items was backordered (which they did not alert me to when I ordered). Not worried, since I had selected to split ship if something was not in stock, I asked what was back-ordered. Then I went on vacation. I return, Nothing had shipped, (they decdided to hold my order against my wishes for the item that wasn't going to be in stock for a month). Now, over 2 weeks later, they still take days between responses, will not ship any of my items until the backordered piece is in stock, and oh, I paid for everything already. Also, they do not understand why any of this might upset me. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WEBSITE SHIPPING EVER.

Thump thump!. Okay, we all know that Babeland is great.

So I'm actually using this as an opportunity to give props to my new favorite vibrator which can be *purchased* at Babeland.

Forget the rabbit, and the ergonomic trend in toys on the market. It's all about the Hummer! (note--at Babeland they call it :The Hummingbird," but the package says Hummer).

It's curvy. It's silvery. It's pearly. It does a thump-thump motion rather than just a bzzzzzz. It's under $30. The speed is adjustable. It's got a g-spot nub (which can also be used elsewhere). It's got a cl&t "pocket" (can't describe any other way--thanks citysearch). And it makes me so very happy.

Absolutely fantastic.. Shopping at Babeland has been life-changing for me, and I've been to both the Lower East Side and Soho locations several times. The first time I ever shopped there, at the Rivington Street location, I was completely terrified, but the salespeople made me feel right at home, gave me tons of good information, and encouraged me to explore the store and myself. It was such an affirming experience, and it's been just as good every time I've been back. The customer service is absolutely wonderful.

I really disagree with those two negative reviews (one of which is really disrespectful about the gender of the person working), and have to wonder if maybe those customers brought some negativity and hostility of their own into the store? I don't know.

Anyway, I'm a devoted Babeland fan. If you haven't been, it's an essential part of the NYC shopping experience.

I had horrible customer service too!. When I asked this transgender sales representative for help with the fuckable flashlight, he, I mean she, I mean he just completely ignored me. Do they think we know how to use this stuff at first? I think not! I agree, the one in SoHo is WAY better!!!!! Advice, don't go to the rivington locale.

Horrible Customer Service. Yesterday was my first and the last time I went to that store.

I bought a Rabbit Habit there, and when I got home I realized the Bunny they sold me is not in the original package.

So I called the next day and asked if I can exchange just the plastic box, not a toy. The sales representative was sort of rude, nervous and negative, and she hung up the phone in the middle of the conversation!

Not the best New Years gift to have...

Note: This review is on the LES location only!

I've been to SoHo Babeland and I like it: it's spacious, the variety of products is greater, and they even have those cute free pens in Babeland colors :)

WOW!. this is the absolute best adult shop i've ever been in. i would normally get slightly flustered and panicky in situations that involve searching for plastic boyfriends in front of strangers, but the staff here is so incredibly nice. they take their jobs seriously and answer all of your questions and aren't skeevy or anything. atmosphere overall is great. wonderful selection as well as decent pricing. i wouldn't go anywhere else. and DO believe all the hype about The Rabbit. ;)

A women-geared shop that strips the sleaze factor from sexual accessory shopping.. The Scene
The Lower East Side's Babeland is less a boutique and more a sex-positive clubhouse. Cute hand-written signs describe the wide array of mostly women-oriented products, and the atmosphere is so laid-back, you'll wonder why everyone in the city isn't spending their Sunday afternoon chilling to Sleater-Kinney on the sound system.

The Goods
Toys distinguishes itself from other sex toy vendors by focusing not only on hawking merchandise, but also on offering sound sex education. The store offers a variety of classes, including an introduction to sex toys class that's available in English, American Sign Language and Spanish. There's also a full library of books on all things related to sexuality.

This place is great!. Right off the bat, they're friendly and very informative. There's no blushing or anything. Ladies, get the Acuvibe (Sam's favorite vibrator in S and the City). It's $75, but believe me, it is EXTREMELY worth it. EXTREMELY, EXTREMELY.
