The Story
CSV founder and downtown legend Ed Vega (Suzanne's dad!) no longer helms this organization, but his legacy remains in the diversity of the companies that currently occupy the premises. These include the lesbian and gay theater-visual arts group All Out Arts, the West African drumming corps Feraba, the Puerto Rican filmmakers collective Cine Huracan, the capoeira organization Afro-Brazil Arts, the Irish theater troupe Daedalus, HOLA (the Hispanic Organization of Latin Actors), AHA (an association to promote Latin culture) and five Latino theater ensembles--SEA @ Los Kabayitos, La Tea, Vaso de Leche, IATI and LEFT.

The Space
A former middle school, the large building sits poised like a giant funhouse in the heart of the Lower East Side. Inside are four off-off-Broadway performance spaces: the Flamboyan, La Tea, the Milagro and Los Kabayitos. Take heed: Most theaters are on the second floor and there is no elevator.

The Details on La Tea Theater

SEA:

Vaso de Leche:

That's "glass of milk" in English. This Nuyorican offshoot specializes in urban sketch comedy and multimedia productions that mix Spanish and English.
