gadgets & gizmos galore.
radio shacks in general are so much better then best buy
still more expensive then ordering online but they have more unusual stuff for the diyer. when they have clearances on things its usually AMAZINGLY cheap. i always pass by this radio shack for a chance to pick up last years model for a great bargain. I miss the days they used to have every little gadget and gizmo but i guess they had to go more "commercial" to make a profit
Better than most.
Have to confess that I'm not a big fan of this franchise, even though they're unfortunately the only game in town for certain items. The stores generally feel run-down, depressing and unprofessional, with stuff on the wrong hook, prices missing, and the staff either chatting away like you 're invisible or schlumping around making it clear that this is the last place on earth they want to be. But, as I say above, this store is definitely better than most.
First, it's bigger than many, and therefore pretty well stocked and not so cramped, but more importantly most of the staff seem to be genuinely interested in helping you , which definitely makes it worth going slightly out of ones way to come here rather simply to the nearest one. Plus, 'Warehouse Wines and Spirits' is jjust down the road so one can take care of all ones essential purchases in one trip!
When it comes to selection, the Kmart of electronics carries practically every tech goody under the sun..
In Short
While the name dates back to the invention of the radio at the turn of the 20th century, today the electronic store offers a myriad of modern technological finds. With equipment ranging from the latest crop of cell phones, digital cameras, batteries, and various accessories for the home, car and office, the store can outfit even the most electronically-challenged shopper. The sales associates are dedicated, knowledgeable and quick to assist and answer any questions. And yes, you can still buy a radio there, too.
