Nice desserts. Came here with a group of 5 and we all ordered desserts. We informed the waiter that we were only there for desserts and drinks before we even sat down but he still gave us the full menu. When I repeated myself, he acted annoyed and bothered.

I decided to shrug off the service and enjoy the desserts. I had the bread pudding which was cool and sweet, and I did try everyone else's desserts and was pleasantly surprised. I would probably return because the location is very convenient.

Marquet Regulars. For years Marquet has been a regular spot for my wife and me -- lunch, dinner, any time is good. And since our nearly four year old girl got her artwork on the wall (high on the left hand as you walk in) we love going even more.

The friendly staff has become an extension of our family. There's always a food surprise -- a new appetizer or dish -- but the biggest surprise is the fact that the quality of the food has never declined over the many years we have been going there.

Great food; lovely people; relaxed, charming atmosphere and Livie's awesome artwork ... for us, it really doesn't get better than this.

cupcake with mold inside. I bought a strawberry cupcake. Outside looks pretty but inside was full of disgusting green mold!!!!!! I don't know how long it was sitting there... plus, the service was pretty bad. I would never go back.

Exquisite food, slightly pricey. This place has great food and seemed popular. It is a bit pricey, but mainly due to the neighborhood.

best beet soup ever. BEST SOUP ever had!!! Their beet soup is the best!

very cozy place with very decent food. I prefer dinner menu to lunch menu but their lamb meat sandwich was awesome too.

Try this place you will love it!

worst service ever. The food may be decent, the decor may be cute, but I have never encountered such poor and disinterested service anywhere in New York. No need to bore people with the long diatribe, but let's just say that mistakes were made and no one seemed to care. Both the manager and the owner were too busy to talk to me (but I could wait 20 minutes for them, if I so pleased). Mistakes are acceptable, don't get me wrong -- but when they're made, at least try to make up for them (and I'm not just talking one mistake). Seriously, it's not worth it.

Adorable, Beautimous, Yum Yum Yum. My sis and I had gone in search of Sweet Melissa's for "the best mini linzer tarts" - but were disappointed as they were out! We bought some other pastries from there and some coffee (her cappuccino was yum, my latte and plain coffee both were ick) and continued on in search of the only thing our hearts desired - Linzer Tarts!! I spotted Marquet and HAD to check it out - so pretty! And I'm so glad I did. The Linzer Tarts were yummy, and the Chai tea I ordered "Can you make it 'spicy' and 'vanilla'?" "Sure" - The best I've ever had! Decadent, Sweet, Sinful, Amazing!

This place has ambiance, adorable pastries, and good tea (I didn't taste the coffee). You won't be disappointed, at least not in that, and what a great place to be at 10PM! :)

(Btw Sweet Melissa - your mistake in giving me a chestnut and honey macaroon when I ordered a hazelnut chocolate macaroon is forgiven in spades - THAT is what *biscotti* should taste like. Yum too:)

poor service. yes, visually, it is quite the place. went for dinner and found an intriguing, if not unusual combination of flavors, all favorable.

however, the waitstaff leaves much to be desired. on slower nights it is expected that perhaps they can shine and yet they don't. they are pretentious on top of being uninterested. very disappointing.

if you don't like your job, life, etc...do something about it.

Best chicken sandwich. Best chicken sandwich I've ever had - only been there for Sunday brunch; always great food and a nice clean place.

Great simple clean food. I was never disappointed at this wonderfully homy place...all the dishes we had were clean-tasting, fresh and never missed the spot. Service can be a bit slow, but they balance it easily with extensive friendliness.

Overall a great place to dine casually (alone just as well as with a Mistress (((see previous review)))))
