One of my favorite places to go... Yes, a lot of things are from Tripp NYC. But what people don't know is that this is where Tripp NYC is based. All the brands sold here last pretty long if taken well properly ;hence why I find myself coming back here every 2 weeks or so. If your looking for something post-apocalyptic, punk , psychobilly, cyber,etc, this is the store to go to for a great deal. ;D Don't forget about the rad accessories.!

great shoes but not much else. Trash has some of the most interesting and moderately priced shoes of anywhere in the city. that being said that is all i'd buy there. if you are not some loaded hot topic lover you won't find much here. i feel like everything in the store these days is made by tripp, no variety whatsoever!

i will say that despite their appearence the staff is quite inviting.

in closing: shoes = YAY!

clothes = NAY!

Jimmy Rocks Upstairs. I took a friend from out of town there last night. We went downstairs first where the manager not only looked unhappy to be there, but wasn't very friendly. We strolled to the back shoe section, where my friend made a friendly joke about one of the boots. The salesguy gave us an annoyed look and then went to the back room without asking us if we needed help. Downstairs was a gloomy experience. HOWEVER, we went upstairs to where Jimmy is and it was completely different. We met and talked with Jimmy, he posed for pictures with us, and even let my 12 yr-old daughter try on a top hat that Slash autographed. Don't think it's just punk rockers that shop the store - I was suprised to see Jane Fonda's autographed pic behind the register. Upstairs w/Jimmy rocks!

Best on St. Marks. You will totally fall in love with this place. The clothes are great and so much fun... I love vinyl and animal prints! The staff is very friendly and really make you feel comfortable just browsing around. You totally feel like you belong here; no pressure, no suggestive selling, it feels like you are hanging out in your raddest friends closet!

JIMMY & Staff Are the BEST!!!!!. This was my first time in NYC and a friend wanted me to go to Trash & Vadville for a cool shirt. I'm not your typical punk or rock chick ( black lady with designer clothes), however I love style in every form. That's exactly what I got there. The staff is so helpful and kind, the extremely hot Jimmy helped me find the perfect gift for my friend, even trying on the shirts for me to show how they looked. Too cool. If you are looking for the real thing in quality style this is the store to visit. Great clothes and a brilliant staff.

Fishnets and safety pins are alive and well here.. Trash and Vaudeville is a St. Marks shopping landmark with clothing designed to scare your mother. It has been the shopping destination of untold numbers of "alternative" notables, from Debbie Harry to John Sex. Looking for a way besides your green mowhak to express yourself? How about a transparent green vinyl Astroskirt? For the more timid, there's one of the cutest versions of the trendy Chinoiserie look: a blue and gold, or red and gold silk miniskirt with blue peek-a-boo pleats in contrasting colors.

Definetly Worth It. Great selection of unique and colorful pants, skirts, shirts, jackets, etc. Rare band shirts can be found in the back of the store and downstairs are unique shoes ranging from creepers to heels to boots to other sneakers. The employees are very friendly.

We love Jimmy!. This place has been here for many, many years, through the cool punk period of the neighborhood, the brief uncool gentrification period and now the semi-revival. Every time I go here, it feels like home, it hasn't really changed. The clothes aren't as perverted as they used to be, but still are pretty good. And the shoes downstairs, my god, the SHOES! The staff are friendlier than they used to be in the eighties...Look for Jimmy, that sweet lanky lad with the ratty blond hair who looks like one of the New York Dolls. He will set you right.
