This store has a great selection of cds for some of the cheapest prices ive seen around nyc. Check it out whenever you can, it would be sad to see stores like this one close from dwindling cd sales. Its worth a trip just to check out their 88 cent bin!

I love shopping for music on St Mark's Place, but it can be hard to tell apart all of the stores sometimes. Sounds is a decent store where you can get pretty much the same stuff as the other stores, but it doesn't stand out to me. It's worth checking out if you have a lot of time and want to go to all the stores on the street just to see if any of them have anything you haven't found at the others, but if you're going to make one stop, you should probably go to Kim's (up the street).

Sounds is just like so many of the other East Village record shops. Lots of CDs a knowledgeable staff and the opportunity to save a few bucks if you find a used version of something you've been looking for. The staff is helpful and usually can give you lots of advice if you tell them the name of a musician you're interested in.
