“The food is always great, the atmosphere always cozy and the staff always warm and friendly.”
“Although whenever I go I tend to order at least one small pie, the place has great dishes all around.”
“Good food and they don't rush you out, you can linger over a cup of coffee or wine talking after your meal.”
“Darkly lit local restaurant, bar and lounge serving up the best pizza (period!)”
“We were seated amid the dining area while great selections of music played and we watched passers-by.”
“This Place was always a great place for Dates.”
“probably will not return, but if I do, I'll order my salad to go.”
“But if you can put up with the bad service the food is worth the wait!”
“We had great appetizers, which were all shareable (mussels, calamari and a great spinach salad), my spaghetti with white clam sauce was yummy and huge (much better than Ive had in Little Italy), great pizza too!”
“maybe if their staff wasn't so slow we wouldn't have been stayed as long.”
Consistently delicious!. My husband and I have been dining at Three of Cups for years and have always had a great meal. There are a variety of great Italian meals to choose from. The soups, salads, pizzas, pastas, and entrees are all incredible. If you want a great meatball then you must visit! The owners always come around to greet you and the staff is very friendly. Linguine and white clam sauce, cesaer salad, risotto specials, etc... are all delicious!!!! Dining here is a must!!!!!!!
I'm from Brooklyn, I know good food!. Born in the L.E.S. n raised in Gravesend (Brooklyn). I know good Italian food (especially Pizza & Pasta) and the Three Of Cups has both. Thin crust pizza fresh from the wood burning oven with all types of choices as toppings. VG pasta and new specials, dishes when i come back to the place after i been away for awhile. Prices & portions have always been very fair (especially considering how the East Village has changed). I have recommended the place to friends and even family and everybody has been happy. I don't have to leave Brooklyn to get a good Italian meal, but i do go to the East Village for the Three of Cups. Now if they could only do something about the parking!
great place to be with family. it was an great atmosphere to be with family. i went with my family and we all loved their great tested food, excellent services. if anyone wants to have an happy, wonderful, and peaceful meal should be in THREE OF CUPS. i strongly recommend you to be there. i would love to be there again and again. its my favorite place now.
great experiance. great tasting food... never tasted pizzas this good in NYC!! excellent service. there was someone always there when we needed something. I recommend everyone to try this place. Im 100% sure if you try it once you will go back again because i will be going back soon with more friends.
WOW!!. all i can say about this place is WOW!! i went there with five friends, they sat us right away. i told the waiter we were really hungry so they got us our food quickly. the waiter was very polite and helpful. they place was beautiful!! if you are looking for the most pleasant meal of your life, i recommend this place...awesome!! will be back very soon
Sooooo Good!!. Loved the food! Completely and totally amazing!! i will definitely be going back. I brought my family there and we were about 10 people and they quickly arranged a table for us even though it was busy. I highly recommend stopping by and having a pizza.
Never Again. Went here with a group of girls for a birthday dinner recently and it was just awful. My friends reservation was never taken, so we waited an hour or more. The owner or manager was not very helpful or nice about the situation. No one really enjoyed the food. The bread was very stale and we asked three times before we got it. The pizza appetizers we got were burnt and cold. How does that happen? Nothing went right and I recommend you try other neighborhood Italian restaurants. I will not be going back.
not the worst but close......
Went for mother's day with family....blah.
The place was empty so we didn't notice any bad service like the other reviewers. They sat us by an open door with a draft. Had to move tables.
The food was equivalent to a bad diner. The menu has an ambitious selection that the kitchen can't live up to. Pizza was adequate but not for the price.
Bread was supposed to be hot but it was served to us cold and stale. The potatoes that came as side dishes were stale like they were cooked a few days ago. I think they were someone else's leftover's.
It was so bad that if I were drunk I wouldn't have enjoyed this meal. Stay away.
One good thing to say.... there was one really cute waitress... might go back to see her again.
Great Surprise in this place!.
This restaurant took me by suprise. I expected a half-decent meal but it was much more. Santo, one of the owners is a gracious host who knows excellent food.
I had the skate fish- it was roasted perfectly, very fresh. Delicious. My dining companion had the whole-wheat pasta putanesca. Amazing! The homemade cheesecake was great too. I'll be back soon!
worth a try.
Super delicious food and a great atmosphere. The Pizza Contadina is very delicious. Meatballs were very well prepared. The portions are not very big, but the flavor definitely makes up for it.
Definitely worth a try if you're looking for a good experience.
