DON'T EAT HERE UNTIL IT'S INSPECTED! Read why... I prefer the one on the UWS because they are more friendly than this location and are careful with how they cook their food. I say this because on friday april 22nd at night between 7 and 8 pm. Me and my friends were seated at the 2nd table to the right and our waitress didn't tell us her name, but took our orders. My friend had a grilled cheese sandwich with tater tots with a dr.pepper float, my other friend had chicken tenders with gingerale and I had honey bbq chicken tenders, tater tots and an oreo milk shake. We couldn't really finish our food and me and my friend that had chicken tenders had stomach pains after we got home, but our other friend that ate the grilled cheese sandwich didn't get sick. We both had the same symptoms, nausea, vomiting, stomach pains, teeth aching and etc. We got sick from eating the chicken tenders. The next day I made a complaint and they didn't contact me or my friend that got sick. We think that this place might not be sanitary, and would like to know why we got sick and what they put in the chicken to make us sick, an investigation would be nice. Me and my friend are pretty turned off at this location and would NEVER EVER step foot into this location AGAIN!!!

Greasy, Gross and Over Priced!!. Gross and over priced!!

Stopped by Big Daddy's Burgers, Shakes & Tots Upper East location 83rd &2nd on a rainy Sunday night around 9:30pm. I was super hungry and craving a good burger but unfortunately all I got was a greasy overpriced mess.

I ordered the All American 102 (which is a half pound burger with lettuce, tomato, and your choice of cheese) medium well to go. It is served with you choice of fries or tots (tater tots) which they were both completely out of at the time but was offered onion rings instead. What I ordered and what I received were two totally different things.

My burger was medium rare and not medium well as ordered with not even a pinch of salt or seasoning on it. It was just a big piece of tasteless, greasy, mushy, cow meat thrown on top of a cheap supermarket wonder bread bun. The onion rings were also greasy and not even drained. They left greasy mess in the container where the burger was also packed. I never write reviews on places but for a $13 cheeseburger @ a burger joint I was expecting more and was very disappointed. I will not be going to any of Big Daddy’s Burger locations ever again. What a waste of money!!!

Classic Cookin in a Retro Atmosphere. I love this place. Well, I particularly love their cheese tots and the fact that I can get them after a night out, at 4 am.

Things I don't love - it's a nut free zone! Such a shame because when I look at the delicious milkshake menu I can't help but think how much better they would all be with a big honkin scoop of peanut butter.

The menu has the basic breakfast and lunch items, along with some creative twists (rocky road pancakes, oo la la). The servers are fantastic and friendly. Overall, a good neighborhood establishment. This Grammercy location is usually less crowded than it's UES counterpart.

Worth it for the frozen hot chocolate.. Aside from the appeal of eating at a homey diner on Park Avenue South, the main draw at this joint is the frozen hot chocolate - a big, slurpy shake-like concoction with bits of chocolate chips, tons of whipped cream and chocolate sauce that sates my junk food cravings on a Sunday morning like nothing else. The rest of the fare is standard diner food, though the salads do seem to be a tad better than most, and are certainly big enough to feed a family...

Great Burgers. I love Big Daddy's. I take my kids here all the time. The Burgers are great and the shakes are awesome (they use real haagen dazs ice cream). They always make my kids feel special and they love the balloons and tattoos. Service is friendly and accomodating. Thumbs up!!

Finally found the worst food in NYC!. Went here late night in search of some comfort food. Somehow this place figured out how to make simple things taste incredibly bad. The french fries tasted like the oil hadn't been changed since the place opened. The nachos had brown guac, pink sour cream, and the taste of staleness throughout.

Please do yourself and the rest of your dining party a favor and do not go here. They also illegally add a service charge for all parties late night.

An unexpected guest with your blue cheese dressing madam?. We were hungry and as I am pregnant I fancied some french fries and a burger. We almost went to L'Express, (wish we had now!) but walked past Big Daddy's Diner. We had eaten there before about two years ago and thought it was ok then! Where do I start, the service is horrible, I had to ask for water from the busboy who did not understand me? However the real stinker was when our food FINALLY came out not only had they messed up the order but the blue cheese dressing that came with my burger (I asked for it on the side!) had an extra ingredient, an unexpected guest! We both now feel rather silly, we should of asked to speak to the manager, but instead we hailed the busboy (as our waitress was useless and took no notice of us most of the time!) to take it away. The manager did eventually ask us if everything was ok, I complained about the unexpected guest in the blue cheese dressing, but he did not seem very apologetic or offer to deduct the cost of the $13 burger from our bill. I agree with other recent reviewers of this place, the service is terrible, the food grossly overpriced, and now these not so charming guests, what next I wonder? Maybe its time to call 311??

I'm tired of over paying for poor service and average food!. Ugh! I've had it with this place. The food is okay, it's ridiculously over priced though. I mean, $10 for a turkey sandwich and I have to pay extra for fries? Come on!

Not only that, the service is just terrible. I live around the corner, we actually share cross streets and every time (no exaggeration -EVERY TIME) the delivery guy gets lost! I live on Gramercy Park S (which is 20th Street) and they're on Park between 20th & 19th - and they can't find me!

Not only that, they're slow as snails. The table service is terrible, I'm always asking for drink refills and water from them. They are always 30 minutes later than they say when delivering... and I mean, that could be because the delivery guy is lost and calls me from a completely different neighborhood - but still! I'm done! No more will I order from here! There are too many good diners out there to waste my money and time here.
