Now This is a Good Burger. I have had my share of bad burgers but this is NOT the case with Paul's. I usually stop here whenever my kids visit me from out of state and want a cheeseburger. I have to admit I wouldn't dine inside only because it is a little cramp to dine in but that is the only negative thing I can say about the place. Put a tip in the tip jar and hear them honk the horn. My girlfriend and I usually order to go and then walk down St. Marks from the East Village to the West Village. For Manhattan, the prices are reasonable and the burgers are big (granted not as big as Jackson Hole). You can't go wrong with this place.

The best burgers anywhere!!!. I love burgers. I've eaten burgers at every self-professed "best burgers" joint. I can honestly say that without a doubt, Paul's burger was the best I've ever had. The only other place that comes close is Lou's Lunch in New Haven. I got an English burger - just a plain old burger with cheese on an English muffin. It didn't need a thing. The taste of the meat was amazing. I'm surprised they didn't have a cow carcass in the back room (or maybe they did - hey it's the East Village!) because the meat tasted so fresh. And yes, the burgers are going to be bigger than the bun (plain old Wonder bread buns) but who wouldn't want a bigger burger??? I would totally recommend the English muffin because it's kinda crispy and doesn't get soggy with all that greasy meaty burger juice. We didn't get any fries or anything because we wanted to stuff ourselves with that damn tasty burger... but we did get a vanilla egg cream to drink that was pretty awesome. The decor is something you'd expect from the area - no frills, but still pretty cool - old neon space design on the black ceiling, diner style tables and chairs, standard lunch counter, etc. A small place but who really cares - I'd eat one of their burgers standing on my head on the street corner and it would still have a smile on my face. Worth the trip from anywhere. If you love burgers like I do, you have to go... just be forewarned - you'll never want a burger from anywhere else once you try Paul's.

Best Burger Ever ^_^ <3<3<3. I went to Paul's Burger Joint last Saturday with my boyfriend, after Self's Workout in the Park. Lol. But we were deciding on Dallas BBQ across the street or Paul's but we were tired of eating chicken at home. Best decision ever made. I had a Cheese Burger Deluxe sub. Sweet Potato fries and Boyfriend had Soul Burger Deluxe. OMG that first ever lovin' bite just melted in my mouth. It was juicy, no gristle and very very lean. After trying to fit that last bite, I was so full i skipped dinner. The prices are pretty decent for something so excellent. I recommend that you MUST have breakfast first or have some serious munchies.

PAUL'S BURGER JOINT ROCK!!!!

Love at First Bite. I've had the great fortune of ordering the East Sider Deluxe (Gigantic burger with heaps of bacon, cheese, mushrooms, sauteed onions, tomato, raw onions, and lettuce.. with mounds of crispy fries on the side) last night and loved it from the first bite to the last greasy crumb. This is coming from a guy who loves red meat and has tasted many different burgers from numerous places around the city (and we're not talking McDonalds here) and Paul's burgers are the best I've had by far. It's not even a contest. And we're talking delivery here. I'm sure the burgers are even more spectacular right off the grill. Now some of the others commented that the buns are a bit small and I agree with that, but that's what makes the whole eating experience so much more enjoyable. And why even bother with utensils? We're talking burgers here people.... so forget the fork and knife... Get your bottle of ketchup ready, roll your sleeves up, grab that monster by the sides, and dig in. That's how I like to enjoy my burger and that's how I enjoyed it last night. So to all you lucky people that get to eat at Paul's or order from there.. bon appetite.

Dee-Lish. There's really no reason to come here if you're not having a burger. Cheap, low maintenance, quick and easy.

No matter how many fancy restaurants open up, just admit it, at heart, we're all burger loving slobs.

Before a night of heavy drinking or the following afternoon.... I have a Paul's Burger. It can't be beat. If red meat kills, allow me to help you pick out my casket. As long as Paul's is around, I'm not going strict veg anytime too soon. There's a (one single) guy behind the counter when I go there "the morning after." I'm not sure if it's Paul but whoever this guy is, whoa! If you're reading this, you should work nights because the guys on the grill in the evening aren?t really measuring up.

great burgers!. My first bite into this bacon cheddar cheese burgers was a burst of beefy juice flavor, I ordered medium rare (pink center) but it came to be a medium (no pink) which i thought wasn't cool but it was still awesome regardless. This place would have easily been a 5 star by me if i didn't order the onion rings which were $3.20 dollars for a hefty plate of frozen pathmark onion rings which were just re-fried in the frier. The waitress there was very nice and was great until one of the kitchen hands brought out our drink of boylan's root beer when we asked for stewarts, after stating the fact that he had gotten the wrong one. My gf and i had then come to understand that he spoke nothing more than yes and no of the english language; frustrating. GREAT BURGERS ! not so great onion rings i warn you don't get it. i honestly thought they'd be homemade but i thought wrong. ONION RINGS NOT GREAT.

AWESOME!. Paul's got so many variety of burgers. I am never disappointed. Whether it's the Bacon Cheeseburger or Burger with Feta...they are all good! I like the atmosphere...and the area of course. Order the deluxe---the fries and shakes are good too!

BEST BURGER EVER!. i LOVE this place. my mouth is watering just thinking about their burgers. The patties are big, the fries are delicious and the staff is no BS. If you are ever in the east village, you HAVE to drop by here for a burger. I've brought many friends here and no one has ever been disappointed.

Best Burgers in NYC!. Paul's has got to be the best burgers in NYC! Visited last sunday for lunch. The burgers are huge and fresh and juicy as can be! I recommend the sweet potato fries! Plus our waitress was a breath of fresh air...SO nice and prompt and seemed to actually like her job...something you rarely find! The place is small, but that's what makes it what it is.
