In Short – With a comprehensive breakfast menu, an extensive list of burgers, sandwiches, salads and desserts, and a full bar, Around the Clock is a reliable neighborhood mainstay, popular for its ability to serve a wide range of appetites and occasions. Up the few stairs to the right of the bar, the main dining area features basic wood tables and chairs, easily configured to accommodate groups of all sizes.
Editor's Tips
- Where to Sit:
- Tables for smaller parties are perched, up a few more steps to the right, alongside the windows and out on the patio.
not a bad place for a quick meal .. but .. dont eat there around 6-7 AM
by dragon0401
hello everyone ...
i went to this place a lot at one point in time when i used to go to Webster Hall (the dancing place) ... and after a long night of hard-core dancing, i would go there with my friends hahaa
anyway ... here is my review
GOOD Stuff:
- food generally well done
- variety .. good variety of food
- staff ... generally friendly and easy to work with
- hours ... very convinient .. you cant beat 24 hrs place haha
- crowd ... generally well-behaved and just want to have a meal and enojoy it
BAD Stuff:
- the first issue i have with this place, is that around 6 AM or so they start cleaning the place with very strong floor clearner ... it is SOOOOO STRONG that it gets into your nose and system and we could not breath ...
i konw that they have to clean the place .. but if they at least open up the windows or something .. and only clean small portion .. let it dry thoroughly .. then clean another section .. THEN it would be bearable
- the second issue i have with the place is the selection of their music .. i know this is not a club or a lounge, but playing Rock music in the early morning!!! come onnnn guys
overall its a good place .. except for the cleaning procedure and their selection of music
- Pros: food, variety, crowd, staff service
- Cons: cleaning in the early morning with very strong odor, and bad selection of music
What a nice place

So I was shopping around the east village last night and I came upon Around the Clock.
What an adorable Diner-ish place...Its well lit, totally cute, and the staff is soo nice. The bar is well stocked, and the choice of food is delish. I had a pizza burger and my girlfriend had a turkey burger with monterey jack.....both were amazing. The fajitas looked great and so did the salads.
Totally cheap, totally a great time.
- Pros: lighting, food, drinks
- Cons: nada
Great cheap diner

Around the Clock is right down the street from me and one of my favorite neighborhood spots. If you're looking for consistently tasty brunch that's way cheap and gives you a lot of veggie/ vegan/ healthy options, Around the Clock is great. Can't say much about their other food because I haven't moved past the cheap breakfast. Atmosphere and service are nothing special, sometimes better than others, but I keep coming back for the price.
- Pros: Inexpensive, many options, open late
Diner-esque with delicious, cheap, healthy food
by steorra
I love Around the Clock because it's open late, the environment is casual and relaxed, and the food is incredibly healthy and delicious. Very vegetarian/vegan-friendly. Sandwiches are cheap as hell and there's a large variety to choose from, so you won't get tired. Omelettes, entrees, and salads are also highly recommended. (I've only had one weird food experience there, and that involved the calamari.) They also serve beer and wine if you want a drink with dinner... or breakfast.
- Pros: Cheap, amazing food and desserts, relaxed vibe, good for the health-conscious.
- Cons: Only 24/7 Thursday through Sunday.
Average Food, Below Average Service
by asianamericaninny
The atmosphere is ok...if you're looking for a very American burger and beer venue. The service is subpar. I decided to join my friends one night for dinner a few minutes after they had already sat down. The waiters had taken a chair from our table and placed it at another table before I arrived, so I was forced to ask them to bring a chair, which is understandable. What is not understandable is why I had to continually ask them for a menu, a glass of water, a napkin and a set of utensils. I even had to ask them to take my order. I was completely ignored. My party and I never even had our glasses refilled with water.
The service is isn't what it should be and certainly not worth the 20%+ tip that they automatically add onto the bill.
TGIF or Ruby Tuesdays is a better bet.
- Pros: It's food.
- Cons: Everything else.
