The quiet backroom was a nice find. But the waitress was hostile. We could not get her to serve us... She was only interested in larger groups. Finally, we had to write our order on a separate piece of paper and march it over to the waitress in the other room. Larger groups that came later were at their deserts before our appetizers arrived. --Drink Club is a roving group of NYC drinkers.
Pros: nice beer selection, friendly bartender
Cons: unfriendly or no waitstaff, downright hostility

In the city, it is quite difficult to find a place to go (especially on the weekends) to have a quiet drink and catch up with friends. This is that place-- where the bartenders are friendly, the drinks are super reasonable, and you can always get a seat. If only there were more places like it! Two thumbs up for sure. This is one of my favorite spots in NYC. Definitely worth checking out!
