“Thursday nights is ladies night which is fabulous (very hot stripper on top of the bar) and when you enter the place they give the girls screws and the guys bolts, so if you see a hottie with a bolt you can screw it on and get free drinks (literally).”
“And also if u wanna go outside for some fresh air or a cig, you gotta spend $5.”
“They are great and they are very diverse that is what makes webster hall a great club.”
“The best place in NYC to go dancing”
“The entertainment is ridiculous with: fire-breathers, trapeze artists, drag queens, showy bartenders, etc.”
“The drinks are expensive but hey its a club in nyc.”
“Expect: long line, pricey, rude body search, crowded, multiple leveled club with various music.”
Had a Blast. I LOVE how the place is Decorated and once you get their you never want to leave becuase it so much fun. Keep up the good work.
Great Music Horrible customer service.
I love the DJ's webster gets...just saw jack beats and crookers. The security is seriously impaired. To start with the woman checking tickets scanned my printout twice and told me it was invalid. I politely told her she had scanned it twice and that was why now it says invalid. She rudely told me she knows what she is doing then walkied for help hahaha. After her manager came he quickly caught onto her error and proceeded to search me. This search was way too intimate. The security guard touched my penis then jiggled my testicles around. Whoa! at least take me out for dinner first. After this we were corralled around like farm animals. It says doors open at 10:00 on the ticket they told us we couldn't go up until 11:30 when we got in then they pushed it past 12:00. Once my girlfriend wanted to smoke a cigarette and they charged her an extra $4 to borrow her coat to smoke and then they wouldn't even let us out after all. Nazi Zombie staff for sure really takes away from the experience. The br attendant upstairs is the only person in the place that seems to understand what customer service is.
The security and staff at this place is amateur and they act like they own the place and you are invading their home. The owner could have a lot more returning customers and sold out shows if they would make these oafs go through some sort of training.
Music was incredible!!!
Webster Hall Robbed Me!!!.
I wish I could give this place zero stars!
I went to Lach Presents at Webster Hall a couple nights ago and really enjoyed it. I fell deeply in love with Ching Chong Song, and renewed my love for The Fools and Master Lee. Then I checked my bank statement the next day and saw that Webster Hall charged me an extra $150. The bank tells me that Webster Hall has to fax a letter to remove the hold. When I called them, they refused to do it. They told me that when you open a tab, they hold $150. No one told me that. If I had known that, I never would have opened a tab. I am an unemployed artist. I have automatic payments that are going through tomorrow, and my account will now be overdrawn because of this, plus I really like eating food to survive. I explained all of this, and still no one would do it. I am a very composed person, and this drove me to hysterical crying on the phone with them. They won't take five minutes to fax a letter. I'm so, so upset. I was looking forward to coming to the Antihoot on Tuesday, but I don't see how I can ever go back to Webster Hall after being treated this way.
Also, I went out of my way to do the right thing. When the Webster Hall staff sent us into the wrong show, then gave us a hard time about getting our money back to see the right show, they finally let us into the right show but through the side entrance. Now, I totally could have gotten away without paying, but I found out where the door guy was, and paid the admission for myself and my friend. If I hadn't done that, I at least would have had a little cash in my pocket, but now I have no cash and will soon have an overdrawn bank account. I just don't understand how businesses get away with screwing people over the way that they do.
Today they informed me that correcting their mistake was "not at the top of their priorities". They admitted that I should have been asked to sign a form stating that they would hold this $150, a form that I clearly was not presented with. They have yet to even apologize! This place is horrible!
Great Place to Go!!.
Went to Webster this past friday, and don’t really know what everyone is complaining about…. Very typical NYC in every aspect. Do you ppl go out?
Yes there was a line outside, but this is standard. Yes the door ppl were a little short with you, but this is standard. Prices for drinks and coat check were no higher nor lower than EVERY OTHER NIGHT CLUB in the city!!! Personally, I had a good time. It was cool to go from room to room with the different music. Although the space is, what seems to be, never ending with secret stairways, I found my way to a good time in all the rooms and was actually entertained for once by a nightclub.
The worst place ever…First time=Last time for me!!!. I went to this place with some friends and we got a VIP table (We were the only one in VIP…bad service), we were good until one of the security guys took one my friends out because she was getting sleep. I saw them taking her to other place without let us know so I went after them to see what is happening. When I tried to ask them about what the problem is, without any reasons, they throw me out as a trash bag! They pushed me, locked my neck and carried me throwing me out to the street with snow outside. The police showed up and helped me to get my jacket. The worst part is that they knew they did it wrong so they tried to convince me to go inside again!!!!! Unbelievable!!!...Take care of people of the door!!...My legs were scratched with their nails. They are animals.
IF YOU CARE FOR YOUR SAFETY DON'T GO TO THIS CLUB. My cousin came up from Georgia to visit NJ for a few weeks. She really wanted to go clubbing in NYC. Since she's only 19 the clubs were limited. Since it was late (1am) we decided to go to Webster Hall because the cover charge was the cheapest out of all the other clubs ($25 compared to $40 at Pacha). Once we paid the entrance, security groped the hell out of us. Besides rigorously checking our purses, they checked the lining of our coats and pockets. After such a thorough "inspection" we were free to go. After just a few hours in the main room, we smelled a foul odor and felt a burning sensation on our skin. A few seconds later my cousin starts screaming uncontrollably that she went blind! We went to the bathroom after realizing we'd just been sprayed with some type of acid and i flushed her eyes out, including my own. After about 10 minutes of rinsing and spitting (because it got in our mouths and noses) i went to the front desk to see a manager and have an ambulance called over. The 2 idiots had the AUDACITY to tell me to go log online and place a complaint on their website. After demanding a manager and EMT, someone finally came and took a look at my cousin who was still screaming from the burning pain in her eyes. As it turns out, the "acid" turned out to be pepper spray. Now... my question is how the hell would anyone be able to get passed security with such a thing? What if it had been a gun or knife? they don't have metal detectors so anyone could easily get passed security if they hide a weapon good enough. Security at this venue needs to do their job correctly because anyone can be seriously hurt or God forbid worse. At the end, we got our money back and were told that we could come back the following week and get in for free but knowing that i'm not safe completely stops me from going there. i know it must have been wrong place and time but this will probably happen again at that whole in the wall.. poor excuse of a club. If you cherish your life, DO NOT COME HERE
Really gone downhill, needs new management!.
Webster Hall was never one of the best clubs in NY but it's gotten progressively worse over the past few years. My friends and I used to frequent the club before we turned 21 because it was one of the few places with a college night. The lines were not too long, the music was good, and there were a ton of options.
Since then they've gone under a reconstruction that took far too long and made the lower floor half its normal size for months, they no longer play reggae or Latin music (now there is only a techno and Top 40 room), and they have been attracting the wrong crowd. On one night there is a crude, amateur strip tease on the main floor and on another night there's an open mic for local rappers who bring all sorts of riff raff as fans. I also hear that they scam local artists and promoters, so be careful if doing business with this club.
I would probably only return for a concert which I hear is one of the few things they do well.
Great place for a party.
Great new years eve!!
