Review for Soon Beauty Lab. Wonderful I went to Soon and received the best color and cut that I have ever had. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I love my new look. I will look forward to returning in the future.
Inconsistent. I went to Soon after reading the great reviews and saw Kristy, who gave me a fantastic haircut. She also did a single process color, that was so-so, but the cut was so good I was looking forward to returning. When I did go back, unfortunately the cut was now a let down as well. She didn't seem to remember at all how she cut my hair less than seven weeks earlier, and gave me an uneven choppy mess with too short bangs. And, once again, the color was not worth the money.…
customer no more.
My son has had his hair cut at Soon for several years--the hipster stylists have been great with my long-haired pre-teen hippie. But we just had his hair cut by a stylist named Christine who was as
pushy and customer-unfriendly as they come. Although we've been long-time customers of the salon, she insisted on charging much more than we've paid before and claimed that she personally would have to pay the salon owner if she honored the kids' reservation I had made. (my son turned 13 a few months ago, a cut-off no one had mentioned.) During the cut she hardly spoke with my kid, who ended up feeling thoroughly uncomfortable.
This isn't the way we've been treated before, but it's left a pretty bad taste in my mouth.…
Chopped it all off---in a good way!. I used to have long locks...and guess what happened? Despite my friends' protests, I got bored and wanted to cut them off. When I went to Kristy (after my roommate recommended the salon), she followed my orders to 1) not make me look twelve 2)not give me a mom cut and 3)make my cut easy and manageable when worn natural or straightened. She succeeded in providing a gorgeous, layered cut that really represents ME as a person. It's unique, hip and will suit me well in my east village haunts. I feel so relieved that Kristy came through and gave me an age-appropriate, cool haircut...I'll definitely be back for the $15 trim. Hopefully she won't move to Italy --she was telling me that she's considering it--but I selfishly hope she stays at Soon.…
Good Cut- Ferocious Horrible Damaging Color!!!. I went to Ruthi and was pretty satisfied with the haircut she gave me, so if you're only going for a haircut - I have nothing bad to say BUT if you are going for COLOR steer clear of ruthi she put the color in all the wrong places and really damaged my hair. it came out looking awful and wanted me to pay extra for her to fix it. HORRIBLE…
