Regina is amazing!!! I've been going to Regina for about 5 years now and I've consistently received a great haircut at a great price. You know it's a good cut when it starts to grow out and it still looks great. It's worth the wait if there are people ahead of you, but don't worry, she is fast and efficient.

If you walk into Astor Place Hair, you take your chances. They kinda did a bait and switch on me. I called down there to see Rita and get a little color cause I heard she did great work. Just some highlights, you know? This big guy told me she wasn't there " but Noemi's fantastic" so I tried her. After getting my hair baked, dried out....just destroyed, I asked for my money back. No way. I was really bothered so I called back and managed to get Rita. She had me come down again and fixed my color the way I wanted. If you want your color done right, call her and don't let them send you to someone else.

Alberto and Astor Forever.
ALBERTO = MAGICIAN - Since 1989, Astor and Alberto have been there for me with fabulous hair cuts and an engaging atmosphere. Sure, the price has gone up, but it remains an incredible value!! Alberto's cut through marriage, kids & career; he's always been there for me and is like part of the family. He's always in a good mood and welcoming and is very efficient - he has to be because he's got a lot of customers!!! Alberto has always kept my hair well groomed and current. He's even humored my attempts at change - and pleasing the requests of my wife. "Not to short" is the order of the day.
Alberto is like a lucky charm for me - since I've been going to him - my life has been good. And it's working out better for him as my hair thins - the job is getting easier even though dealing with gray hair is a challenge.
If you haven't tried Alberto and Astor ; you haven't really lived in New York - and you have paid WAY too much for a haircut!

Regina Rules.
Regina has been responsible for my hair for over 15 years. I made the mistake of cheating on her once. I looked ridiculous.
As an actor and model, she's helped me look my best.
Whether you have specific ideas, or just want a good cut, Regina will give you exactly what you want, or something better.

Rita's Amazing Color!!. Ever since I began going to Rita for my color, highlights, and cut, people literally stop me on the street and ask who does my hair. Her artistry and talent with creating the most natural, beautiful, highlights is unmatched. She took my over-processed, way-too-blonde hair and wove in warm honey tones with shimmery golden blonde to create the prettiest colors I've ever seen. She also shapes and layers my hair so that it's pure perfection each and every time I go to style it—weeks, even months later. She's a true artist and also one of the sweetest, funniest people you'll ever met.

Alberto is the best.
I've been getting my haircut by Alberto at Astor Place for 15 years now and I've been going to Astor Place for 19 years.
To say Alberto is the best is an understatement. He is thorough, creative and fun. Feeling chatty? Talk about whatever you like, sports, weather, girls, hair, music. Feeling sleep? Just relax and let Alberto do all the work.
I trust this man so much, I haven't asked him to do anything in over a decade, he just knows what is hot and what looks good based on your head size, hair color and style.
You might have to wait, but it's worth it. This man is an artist and a master barber. You've tried all the rest, now try the best.
