“and the customer service is appalling.”
“Bad pricing - huge ripoff”
I am new in town and and was searching for a store exactly like this one, which handles shoe repairs, leather repairs, alterations,...etc. I took my shoes here after finding Andrade Shoe Repair online and I could not have asked for a better job done, it was also done within the same day...Highly recommend!
wow!. I wear out my shoes soo quickly with all the running around town I do, and there's nothing tackier than a beat up pair of pumps of heels that go tap-tap all over the city sidewalks because the rubber tips have fallen off.
Quick and friendly.. I feel lucky to have this place around the corner from my office.
SIX STARS. SIX STARS! You guys make the shoes better than when they were new- and the counterman is very professional + super nice.
Best place. They literally repair everything and are very good people in our neighborhood.
Highly recommended. "I dropped my favorite pair of every day boots off at 11 on my way in to work, and one employee listened patiently as I pointed out all the things that needed to be fixed (loose stitching around both uppers, heel replacement to both, patch needed on the right toe). I was charged $20 upfront and quoted $50 total - not the cheapest I guess, but the boots were in rough shape and this was about a quarter of what I paid for them in the first place, so certainly not unreasonable. I was told to stop back at 6 to pick them up, and when I did, I was presented with my favorite boots, in like-new condition. Not only was everything that I wanted fixed done, and done well, but the boots had been thoroughly cleaned, conditioned, and polished as well! The guy who fixed my boots then recommended some product to keep the leather clean and conditioned. Great quality work, friendly employees, overall good experience. Yes, they only take cash, yes, you're required to put some money down, and no, it's ... off at 11 on my way in to work, and one employee listened patiently as I pointed out all the things that needed to be fixed (loose stitching around both uppers, heel replacement to both, patch needed on the right toe). But it's close to work and the train, and there's plenty of signage in the shop warning you that they can't take plastic and that you'll have to give a down payment for them to begin work. They've definitely earned my future business."
Great place. Store is clean and bright; the staff friendly and knowledgeable; work done on time.
