User review by jules0606. I highly recommend Remy Lounge for anyone who is looking for a mature, good looking crowd. The place has two floors with a variety of different music. The staff was friendly and the owner even came over and introduced himself and I have to say he went out of his way to make everyone feel comfortable. We parked in the garage around the corner and were able to get our parking stub validated to pay $12 for the entire night. I told all my friends and we are planning on going back next week.
Great Lounge. I've gone to Remy Lounge many times and have always had a great time. The food is great, some of the best spanish food I have ever eaten. The crowd and the music are both great. The dj's are very friendly and are always open to requests from customers. The drinks are not expensive like some other clubs in NYC. They serve the best apple martinis I have ever had!! I would definitely recommend this spot.
Pleeeease don't go here... Remy is rated Best Latin Club, but doesn't live up to it. I was going with some friends, I reserved a table and not only did no one direct me to the table, I could never find a waitress to show me where my table was. The music was ok...people were kinda - yeah..kinda...polite but they made a real effort in trying to be nice. No pretty people either!! Grrrr.... Many of those working there acted like they were too cool for the room....dudes, so not happening. And to top it off!!! 2 hrs passed and I was still waiting for the place to get crowded....Oh and people (owners) get real...if you don't allow people with jeans in...you'd have no one in there! The only good part was the free drinks, after that leave people..to a real party!
it was pretty good but not the best. i celebrated my b-day there. most of my friends liked the lower floor bc the dj played a good mix of old and new hip hop. the top floor had salsa and regeatton. i wish they played some regeatton downstairs as well. i was a little dissapointed - remy loung definately is NOT the best latin lounge in nyc. i've been to better places. the open bar however was very good - pretty large selection of good liquor. (after happy hour drinks got really expensive), bartenders and bouncers were very nice too. i wasnt feeling the atmosphere though. the ppl? i'd have to agree with bbwvbmws's rating. overall not too shabby but does not make it to the top of my list.
High class latinos? Wrong place..
Oh my God. Please do not call this high class Latin. This place was full of hip hop intellectuals, grandma's and not so good looking people. If you're looking for a cool place with tons of pretty college age women and the 40+ crowd this is not the place!
It's so sad you actually dare call this a high class Latino spot. I'm sorry but that place is ghetto. The drinks were decent. Get this: one bartender for an entire floor. The music was horrible. Please stop playing old school music, that music stinks.
I can't comment on the food.
Don't go there unless you're busted.
My 25th was a Night to Remember!. My party was perfect to say the least! I had a diverse party of 40+ there and they couldn't believe we found such a hot spot. They made our drinks strong, I hardly could finish all the drinks people were buying me! The VIP area cost us $260 (two Moet bottles) and it was so romantic and sexy with candles, sofas and pillows. The Dj spinned Latin and Hip Hop and we got hot and heavy all night long! But keep in mind, if you get a VIP area upstairs, be prepared to wait until 12am to enter the area. Also their kitchen is not open on Saturday nights, but we had a cake which made up for it a little. Besides that, they were professional, clean, and the atmosphere had plently of attractive people to enjoy and have a good time with regardless if you are single or not!
GREAT PLACE. REMY IS ONE OF THE PLACES I RECOMMENDED. GREAT FOOD,SERVICE, MUSIC. THE PLACE NEEDS A FACE LEFT BUT IT NICE IN SIDE.THE WOMEN HAVE TO BE SOME OF THE BEST LOOKING IN THE CITY AND VERY FRIENDLY A GOOD PLACE TO MAKE FRIENDS
PERFECT FOR ANY AGE. So, this past weekend I planned to hold by mother's 50th birthday celebration here. I found this place on city search and took my chances. To my surprise, it was everything I was looking for. The staff were friendly and accomodated my every request (a waitress even helped me set up balloons and candles on the tables) I reserved seating for 20 upstairs and was happy to find my section waiting for me to decorate when I arrived. I'm 22 and my mother turned 50 and neither of us felt our of place. The music was wonderful (she wanted to dance latin) and we had a great time. You should def. go here if you are looking for a tasty latin meal with great prices! Im going again with my friends and my mom will too.
NYC Hot spot for for old and new beats!!!. Eddie Batiz brings you the best of the best! There is no stopping him when he gets on the turn tables. The Latin beats are wonderful and the Hip Hop is just the same. But when it comes down to the old school, Well what can I say" Eddie knows how to put it on you." It's a great place, the people are very friendly and the staff is just wonderful and very attentive. And if you never had the pleasure of spanish food, well you need to run and get there as fast as you can. The seafood salad is superb, the pastels take you back home to Puerto Rico. You can park in the nearby garages and get your ticket validate by the bartenders and pay only $10 all night. Where do you find a deal like that in the city? Go check it out!!!
Great scene, Great cuisine. It is what it is at Remy! The music is bumping, the girls are fly and saucy. I came in for happy hour after happy hour, stayed till midnight and it was awesome. Money well spent.
