In Short – Adorned by a neo-Gothic spire that once commanded the city's skyline, this is the third incarnation of Trinity Church since the parish was founded by charter of King William III in 1697. Their burial ground contains the graves and memorials of historic figures such as Robert Fulton, who developed the first commercial steamboat service, and politician Alexander Hamilton. History and architecture buffs will appreciate the church's museum and daily tours (2pm).
Editor's Tips
- When to Go:
- The Trinity Museum's hours are as follows: Mon-Fri 9am-11:45am, 1pm-3:45pm; Sat 10am-3:45pm; Sun 1pm-3:45pm
- Fun Fact:
- When the parish was founded, the charter set rent for the land at "one peppercorne" per year. On July 9, 1976, having lapsed on payments to the British Crown, the opportunity was taken to present Queen Elizabeth II with a symbolic back-rent of 279 peppercorns.

What I remembe most from my visit to Trinity Church was the Cemetary. Reading the old headstones was very moving.
- Pros: Workmanship
