good, pleasant salon. Flor and Michelle treat customers wonderfully. The finished product is always great.

Cheap, cheerful, good cut and color. My last cut and color place had just raised it's rates by 30% and I was looking for somewhere new and reasonably priced. I walked in, no appointment and was given to Flora, an Italian lady. She chatted non stop, put excellent color in my hair and cut it exactly as I wanted. I gave clear instructions, and it all came out really well. Easy, done, I'll go again.

I was surprised at the negative comments, it's a cheaper outlet, but I thought they gave good value and a great cut.

Ask for Flora. Very pleasant and warm. She will really listen to what you what. She will take some time with you so don't expect to get a rush job.

OK experience for my first time. I decided to go to Jean Louis David salon because I work in the area. This was my first time getting my hair dyed professionally. The stylist that took care of me (Lorna?) was friendly. She tried to get the hair color as close to how I requested as possible. Unfortunately, it was a darker than I wanted it BUT it could've been worse! At least it wasn't orange (which is what I was afraid of). No complaints. I will go back for a touch-up when I need it. I hope I receive the same friendly service.

Don't Waste Your Time. Even on your worst hair day I would never recommend this salon. I took it as a bad sign when I called to make an appointment and they said I didn't need one, clearly no lines of people waiting to get their hair done here. When I showed up to the salon they took me back to wash my hair, and instead the man shampooed half my face. I started to get more concerned since washing hair is what hair stylists should learn on day one of beauty school, and if he can't do that maybe he won't be able to do a simple blow-dry. I was right. He asked me how I wanted my hair done and I said blown straight, this confused him. When he had finished I looked like Farrah Fawcett. I asked him if he could fix it so it looked straighter, and he informed me he could not. Obviously this wasn't the case, becaues as soon as I left I walked down the street to another salon which fixed his mistakes and left me looking like I had actually just gone to get my hair done. Between the attitude and lack of talent I would never recommend this place to anyone, there are too many good salons in New York City.

PLS do not go here!. Ladies especially pls do not go here! I had gotten my haircut here about 5 weeks ago and had an intersting experience, i have a basic haircut as im trying to grow my hair, so its straight with some layering around my face. I told the guy raymond to only cut like an inch he told me shorter was the way to go so I emphasised to him no more than an inch pleaasssse! as he was cutting a piece of my hair fell in my lap which was like 3-4 inches long! of course i panicked and he told me it must of been from the client before???? this was theonly piece i saw cut this long so believed him, in the end he dryed and styled my hair nicely and i felt bad inthe end for being a lil rude to him.

so I went back last week just being in a rush and my hair has grown so just wanted a trim, the lady who took me cant remeber her name she was older european has butchered my hair I only wanted a trim all the layers round my face are dif lengths and its not evn stright at the back...im so sad how can a hairdresser get such a basic cut so wrong?? I only noticed after i washed my hair as she curled it so it was hard to tell at the time she did it to cover it up! now i have to wait till it grows out a little and will def make the trip to midtown to get a PROFESSIONAL to sort it out.sniff.

my advice pay a lil more and go somewhere else.

i know i shouldnt have returned but i was in a rush! serve me right gggrgghhh!

I havent had a haircut like this in a long time, GREAT PLACE!. I walked right in and someone took me right away. I had gotten butchered by a chinatown haircutting place and needed some relief. I told the lady (forget her name) that I need something manageable and she gave me the greatest cut ever! Im totally going back today infact!

a militray barber could do as well. take your $22.50 and buy a bowl and some hedge clippers, at least you have something to trim your hedges with afterwards.
