Excellent, healthy food!.
I have been going to this place for almost 20 years, and I still love it! The restaurant has been owned by the same family throughout that time, and they are always so sweet and friendly to me! It's great to know that there are small places in the city where you can get wonderful food!
It's very casual, and there are places to sit even during lunch time. The food is amazing and healthy. I really like the Combination Fantasy (#6), which has delicious steamed vegetarian dumplings, brown rice, and steamed vegetables (kale, radish, sprouts, tofu, carrots). They have a special tahini dressing to put on everything, and it makes the dish taste wonderful. I also like their steamed chicken dishes and soups, and I frequently indulge in some of their fresh fruit shakes (they are amazing).
I only wish they were closer to me, and that they would expand! If you like healthy food, or are vegetarian, I would highly recommend the place. I have brought friends there, and they have raved about it afterwards as well!
Worst. Place. Ever.. I am floored that this place has such high ratings and has stayed in business for so long. I placed a delivery order - the guy told me I had to spend at least $20 (which ended up being closer to $30, not including tip), even though I'm right in the neighborhood. I got a green tea smoothie: some sort of horrible, articial creamsicle flavor... Nothing even resembling green tea. I got a tofu and veggie entree... No tofu, just some undercooked, rock-hard brown rice and tasteless, steamed kale and a couple other unidentifiable things. I got veggie dumplings (the guy made me get two orders to meet the minimum)... Tasteless, watery, fell apart when I tried to pick them up with chopsticks. Even the pecan bar (which, again, I was forced to order) was inedible... Stale and tasteless. I literally took one bite of each thing and proceeded to throw it all in the garbage. I am vegan and love healthy food, but this place truly has some of the worst food I've ever had. Now I'm out $30 and am still hungry.
