This one of the last old Village Coffee shops where you can sit and have breakfast, coffee and read the paper.
The staff are mostly Latino and the lunch menu often caters to Latin tastes. The also carry imported soft drinks from Mexico including Coca-cola with real cane sugar (not high-fructose corn syrup.)
They recently got a facelift and it remains to be seen what the impact on the menu will be.
- Pros: Seats!!!
- Cons: Sometimes crowded
Worst Customer Service I've Seen In Years
by srigmg at Citysearch
I ordered my usual order from here this morning and when the entire order was wrong, I called to ask them to fix it. The guy on the phone, who claimed to be the manager, told me that "if I had ordered it that way the guy would have written it down." And since he didn't write it down, I must have made a mistake and they therefore were not willing to replace it for me. The food at this place is nowhere near good enough to justify that kind of customer service. I will never order from there again. You would think that in this economy, a "manager" would not want to lose a loyal customer, as well have these kind of reviews posted, over a $10 order. Seems like silly business practice.
- Cons: Customer service is awful.
